Krea University MBA Eligibility & Criteria 2025

Krea University MBA course is a full-time course that lasts for two years and is offered. The MBA curriculum includes a 2-month summer internship at the end of the first year. Additionally, IFMR also offers an Integrated BBA+MBA course lasting for five years and one three-year Executive MBA conducted in offline/online classes.

Admission to the MBA course is entirely entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to the MBA at Krea University must qualify for any one of the national-level entrance exams, followed by an interview round conducted in online/ offline mode. Krea University MBA Admission 2025: How to Apply?

Krea University MBA admission process consists of multiple rounds. The admission process starts with the release of the application form, followed by qualifying for the other selection rounds. Students must be qualified MBA programme before applying. The step-wise details around the complete admission process for Krea University admission 2025 are mentioned below:

IFMR Chennai MBA Application Process

Krea University admission application forms are available in online mode. Students can visit the official website of the institute to register themselves and pay the application fee to confirm their candidature. The step-by-step process to fill out the Krea University application form for all the courses (except PhD) is given below:

Go to the official website of Krea University (www.krea.edu.in). On its homepage, click on ‘Apply Now’. The registration page opens up.

Register by addressing details, including name, email ID, mobile number, and address. Hit the ‘Register’ button once done.

An email will be sent to verify the authenticity of the email ID. Click on the available link on the email to process for further steps. Also, create an alphanumeric password for creating a login credential.

Fill out the application form by addressing other details, including academic qualifications, guardian details, address of communication, etc.

Pay the Krea University MBA application fee of INR 1,500 online mode using a debit card/ credit card/ net banking to conclude the application process.\

Selection Rounds

For admission to MBA course at Krea University Chennai, the institute evaluates candidates' past academic scores. Students need to qualify for any one of the national-level entrance exams. Further, the shortlisted candidates are called for the PI round, which is conducted in multiple phases in both online and offline modes.

Students must qualify for the CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ CMAT/ GRE/ GMAT entrance exam, conducted by NTA. Also, they have to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria to be eligible for admission. For Integrated BBA+MBA candidates must participate in the IPMAT or SAT or Krea Aptitude Test. Final shortlisting will be based on academic background, competitive exam score, and performance in the personal interviews.

Final Admission

After the completion of the selection process, the selected candidates have to pay a certain amount of fee to confirm their admission. The Krea University MBA fees is INR 16 lakh. Besides tuition fees, students are expected to pay a one-time admission fee of INR 3,5000. This fee amount is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. IFMR College true review for MBA students.

Placements: In my course, 128/280 have been placed till now. The highest placement offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest is 8 LPA. Top recruiters are JPMC, Moody's, ROC, and Indian banks. Top roles evaluation, credit analyst, risk. Generally, 35% got a good internship, and the remaining students have to settle for an average internship.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is awesome, the building and classroom are great, Wi-Fi is fine, the library is huge, and you will love it. The quality of the hostel is also decent, 2 sharing room, the quality of food is not good, breakfast is nice, but lunch and dinner are not that great, and it also has great sports and games facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is fine, you will like it. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the student industry-ready. Semester exams are tough, and students have study hard to get good marks. The pass percentage is around 90%.

Worth every penny, placements offered can be better.

Placements: Right now, when I am writing this review, the placements are ongoing as this year's job market situation is not quite satisfactory. Many students are hustling for jobs, they are even trying off-campus placements. The highest package offered in my batch till now is 20 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, TCS, and many more top companies came for campus recruitment.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure here is awesome. Library is very peaceful and maintained. Wi-Fi is available. Classrooms and washrooms are also clean and well-maintained. Hostel facilities are also good. The quality of food offered in mess is also appreciable. Medical facilities are available.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful. The teaching quality here is worth every penny. Also, the course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. The level of semester exams is moderate, one can pass it if he/she studies well. Overall, the education quality provided here is good.

Other: I always wanted to pursue MBA so I chose this course and I loved studying everything.

Placement committee is helpful and opportunities are also good.

Placements: Till now, few companies have visited the campus like Uber, Google, Microsoft, BNY, and Expedia and all of them have offered internships to 3rd year students. Approximately, with the same stipend is around 1 LPA and more companies are set to come because this was just the first month of the season, and long way to go ahead.

Infrastructure: There is a sports club which organizes sports competitions in which anyone can participate, and they don't need to be professionals.

Faculty: Faculty members are good, especially in Software, and they have a deep knowledge of the subjects they teach. They allow students to communicate and encourage them very firmly to participate in the class which we really like about them. Exams are relatively on the easier side but branches like Electrical, ECE, and Mechanical are on the tougher side because they are core subjects.

Other: We have an annual fest called Abhudaya, which is decent. We have other fests, including both inter and intra-college. There are DJ nights and festival celebrations like Diwali, Onam, Ganapati puja, etc. A lot of clubs and committees are there in which students can apply as per their interests. They get chances to perform and come out of their comfort zone.

Best facility providing MBA college.

Placements: The college placements are good but the packages are low. The average package offered is 2.5 Lacs and the highest is 11 Lacs. Accenture, Genpact, EXL, etc. hire many students. Accenture hires for test analyst profile, Genpact for business analyst, and EXL for consultant profile. Mostly Tech companies recruit students. 70% students got placed in our batch, but the internships are very low with most of them being unpaid and useless.

Infrastructure: The University infrastructure is modern having the latest technologies. The classrooms, benches, and library all are modern in design, the benches are colorful. Wi-Fi is available but it’s speed is less. Hostel facilities are provided in the college campus having a bed, a cupboard and a table for the students in sharing rooms. Washrooms are cleaned time to time. Both indoor and outdoor sports are played.

Faculty: The teachers are good but mostly English is used for teaching. There are 9 members for our branch of 50 students keeping an eye on each student. The teachers are funny, they crack jokes during the teaching so we do not feel bored in the lectures. The course curriculum mainly makes us an analyst in all analysis tools which are in the syllabus like advance excel, Tableau, power Bi, etc. The semester exams are for a total 100 marks, 70/30 is the pattern of the University. Exams difficulty level is medium.

Other: College campus and facilities are very good.

The best college of my life and career.

Placements: The placement offered by our college is so good, as in the last semester students are eligible for placement opportunity as many of the top-reputed companies in the world visited our college for placement, some of which are Infosys, Infotech, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, etc. As there were 150+ companies visiting our college for placement activities, the students were getting a higher position in the reputed company with an average package of 9 lacs, with the highest going to 25 lacs per annum .

Infrastructure: The hostel facility of our college is so good, as we have a secure hostel campus where no one can enter or go out without the permission of hostel staff. The rooms of our hostel are also good, as every student has their own personal room. The room has decent facilities to live in, as we have a mess facility, and we also get healthy and hygienic food to eat.

Faculty: The course of MBA is so good as I obtained it because I am in the commerce field. Our college has the best teaching environment because of our teacher, who is so polite and humble. Also, if I talk about the qualifications of teachers, all the faculty are well experienced in there field, as some are Ph.D. holders. Also, at the end of every semester, we have our examination .

Very best faculty is provided by the college.

Placements: Bajaj, ICICI Bank, etc. companies come for the placement. The highest package is up to 10 lacs, and the average package is 2 lacs. 50% of students get jobs through placement. I also got placed in ICICI Bank but I did not like that, so I didn't join it.

Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is very nicely designed and the rooms are well maintained. The hostel rooms are equipped with good-quality beds, almirahs, and study tables. The hostel mess food is good and properly cooked. The hostel's security is very good and strict. The wardens are friendly and behave in a well-mannered way. The hostel has 24 hours of water and power supply. Hostel Fee: INR 35,000 per year.

Faculty: The course is really to the point and mostly they are all more concerned with practical exposure than theoretical knowledge. I chose finance as my core specialisation as I am from a CA background, and I really love to analyze data. Excel is my cup of tea, and I also love doing work in Excel and other Microsoft Office. Class size;-66 The course costs INR 1345000 per year.
