The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is expected to release the CLAT Notification 2026 anytime soon. The CLAT 2026 Application Process is likely to begin in the next few days. 1. Registration - The candidate could register by entering their name, mobile number, and email id. Also, select and confirm a password for the newly created applicant account. 
2. Login - Log in to access the application form.  
3. Select the programme of study - After logging in, the first thing was to select the programme of study 5-year LLB or one-year LLB
4. Fill the form - There were different fields like personal information, communication details, qualifying examination status, exam centre preferences (THREE centres can be selected in the order of preference), and reservation. 5. Submit the form - Once the details are duly filled, agree to the declaration, give consent and submit the form.    

6. CLAT NLU Preference List 2025:

Candidates must note that from CLAT 2025 onwards it was mandatory to give their preferences to NLUs while submitting their CLAT 2025 Application Form. Aspirants must select their preferences carefully, as the consortium will only consider those NLUs that have been mentioned in the preference list.

The Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai offers the following courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels:

• BA-LLB (Hons.) -Candidates are admitted to the BA-LLB programme based on their CLAT scores and the  fees for this course is Rs.1.53 Lakhs ( first year).
• LLM - Admission to the LLM course is also on the basis of candidates’ performance on the CLAT and the total fees for this course is Rs. 3.79 Lakhs.
• Ph.D. - Admission to the Ph.D. course shall be made through the Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT) which is conducted by the University. Candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET/JRF need not appear in the test and can go straight to the personal interview. The  fees is Rs. 2.12 Lakhs (first year).
