CLAT Notification 2026: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has published the CLAT Third Merit List 2026. The Consortium had postponed the CLAT Counselling Process 2026 for UG Courses earlier. Candidates who completed their CLAT Counselling Registration 2026 will only be allowed to participate in the counselling process. Aspirants must note that CLAT Counselling Process is completely online. The CLAT 2026 exam was held on December 7, 2025. The CLAT 2026 Result was declared after the release of the final answer key on December 16, 2025.

How to Check CLAT 2026 Counselling and Seat Allotment Result?
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check the CLAT seat allotment result:
- Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Enter mobile number & password.
- Click on Login.
- Check the seat allotment result.
Note: There are 3, 213 seats for UG courses, 1,217 seats for PG. Those who will qualifiy CLAT 2026 will be shortlisted for admission rounds after they complete counseling registration and eligibility-related documentation.

The Consortium has released the notification on release of CLAT Provisional Answer Key and opening of CLAT Objection Window.

CLAT 2026 Notification (Provisional Answer Key Release Date OUT)
The consortium will release the official notification regarding the CLAT Provisional Answer Key release date. CLAT Answer Key 2026 to be released on December 10, at 5:00 pm. Candidates will be able to challenge the answer key till December 12, 5:00 pm. Check the official notice below.
Commonly asked questions
The CLAT exam will be conducted in December 2026. The exam timing will be 2 pm to 4 pm. The consortium has not announced the CLAT Exam Dates yet.
The Consortium of NLUs conducts the CLAT Exam from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam is held only in one slot. There are no shifts in CLAT Exam. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode.
Apart from the CLATAdmit Card, candidates must carry the following documents to the exam centre:
- Passport-sized photograph (same as the one uploaded with the application form)
- A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter ID)
- Transparent water bottle
CLAT 2026 Notification (Change of Reservation Category – NALSAR, Hyderabad)
The Consortium of National Law Universities has revised the reservation criteria for NALSAR Hyderabad for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). All candidates who have applied for SC-TL must update their reservation by December 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
