To receive the Need Cum Merit scholarship at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, students need to qualify for the eligibility criteria set by the university. The criteria are:

• The scholarship is available for students enrolled in all UG and PG courses in the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University Campus, Ajmer.
• The annual income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed INR 2.50 Lacs from all sources.
• Financial assistance will be given to pursue higher education in the University Campus. The Scholarship amount will be credited to the student's account in the Bank available at the Campus.

The total tuition fee for M.A. Programme offered by MDSU ranges from INR 700 to INR 62,500. The normal Master of Arts M.A. Programme at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU) is a two-year programme. The course is full-time and is divided into four semesters. The university offers eight different specialisations for the M.A. The specialisations are Economics, Hindi Journalism and Mass Communication, History, Political Science, Population Studies, Sanskrit Vedic Vangmaya, and Geography. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 48% aggregate is the basic eligibility for an MA offered at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University Ajmer.
