MDSU admissions for UG & PG courses generally start in the month of May. The applications for other courses started around the same timeline. There are no the latest dates released by the university. Students can seek the estimation from this timeline for the upcoming admission dates for the next year. MDSU Ajmer provides 14,647 seats in its BSc programme. These seats are provided across various specialisations and across affiliated colleges of the university. Government PG College, Deoli and Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College offers the most amount seats for the programme with 520 seats and 2054 seats, respectively. There are also multiple women's colleges where only women can take admission.

MDSU has over 10+ affiliated colleges offering BCom programme. This amounts to an intake of 7,000+ seats for the programme. Some of the colleges with prominent seat intakes include Government P.G. College, Deoli, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College, PSB Government College, and more. Out of all the affiliated colleges and institutes, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College has the highest intake with 999 seats.

As per the official website, various recruiters visited every year at MDSU and placed students in new-age job roles. The top recruiters of who participated during the recent MDSU placements included ITC, Tata Group, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, ICICI Bank, TCS, HDFC Bank, etc.

To get a seat at MDSU MA course, candidates have to pass Class 12 with minimum 48% aggregate. The seat intake for MA is 5,828, including the campus and affiliated colleges. Candidates are offered direct admission based on the scores of last qualifying exam. Interested candidates can apply on the official website by submitting the scorecard of the previous education. 

At the time of admission, candidates are required to pay a sum amount of fee to confirm their seat. Total course fee includes tuition fee, hostel fee, security deposit, etc. The total tuition fee for BSc courses is INR 13,400 – INR 1.42 lakh. Yes, admissions to MDSU are either merit based or entrance based. However, the university does not accept CUET to shortlist candidates to any of the UG or PG courses. Candidates can check the eligibility and selection criteria of the courses that are offered by the university to learn more about the entrance exams that are eaccepted to some of the courses. 

MDSU admission process begin with an online application process. Candidates must visit the official website to apply for their desired UG/ PG courses. Admissions to most of the courses is done based on merit scores of previous qualifying exams. Except for B.Ed and M.Ed courses. To get admission to these couses, candidates have to qualify for PTET and MTET, respectively. Based on the performance of candidates in all selection rounds, the university releases merit list in various rouds.
