In terms of placements, the University has achieved a good placement record. Over the past two years, the top industry in which the highest percentage of MBA offers were made has been the same, i.e. Banking, Finance, and Insurance. No, its not hard to get admission at MJPRU University but it is competitive. The university offers UG and PG courses across various specilisations such as Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, Medical, and others. MJPRU Bareilly conducts its entrance exam such as MJPRU Entrance Exam for admission to specific courses. National-level entrance exams like CUET UG, CUET PG,  JEE Main, etc., are also accepted by the university.

MJPRU admissions are either entrance or merit-based. Candidates have to qualify for the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for any of the UG & PG courses. For PG courses, MJPRU conducts the MJPRU entrance exam. Apart from that for courses such as BPharm, BTech, MBA, MCA, etc., the university accepts valid scores of JEE Main, CUET UG & CUET PG entrance exams. Further, for other UG courses, admissions are entirely based on the merit obtained in the previous qualifying exam.

MJPRU Bareilly admissions are both merit and entrance-based for respective UG and PG courses. For a few UG courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, etc., admissions are offered based on candidates' merit scores obtained in their last qualifying exam. Further, to get admission to courses such as LLB, MEd, MSc, etc., candidates have to qualify for the university-level entrance exam. For other UG and PG courses, Rohilkhand University accepts a valid scores of CUET UG and CUET PG entrance exams. Later on, the selected students are allocated seats via a counselling process. MJRPU offers both scholarships and financial assistance to its UG and PG students. However, students can apply for various Government scholarships such as the Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses (Minorities), the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students, the Graduate Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST, Post Graduate Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holders, and Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child.
