One of the best institutes for history students.
Placements: Nearly 70% of students get placed in reputed museums and organizations as curators and research assistants. Also, many students prefer to study further. Big companies and organizations like Deccan Heritage Foundation, TCS, Wipro, Sarmaya Art Foundation, etc., visit our college for recruitment purposes. The highest salary package offered last year was 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. More than 55% of students get internships. Some students also get jobs in art galleries because our course focuses on Indian culture.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for this course are amazing and helpful throughout the course journey. There are digital classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a seminar hall. There is good-quality Wi-Fi throughout the campus. The library of the college is quite good and consists of many copies of books. Many students can get them at a time. The hostel has facilities like a mess and a canteen. They are average. However, sports and games facilities are good here. Also, our college provides 24/7 medical facilities to its students.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and have good teaching knowledge. Most of them have Ph.D degrees in their respective fields and are in constant contact with the industry. The quality of the teaching is good, which provides students with good ideas about the course. Our course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The level of the exams is mediocre and it is quite easy to pass them.

It is a decent college for admission.
Placements: They have not discussed any company placements yet. Our seniors mentioned that there was no sign of any placements. Additionally, there has been no information about internship offers. Most students are confused because college does not notify them about internships or placements.
Infrastructure: All students have access to 150 Mbps Wi-Fi on this connected campus. It also features a digital library. Campus includes several unique labs, such as Edwin's lab, the iOS app development lab, and many others. There is also a strong emphasis on sports and cultural events, reflecting the diversity of the student body.
Faculty: It is worst experience ever. Inexperienced teachers at our college waste students' time. The only reason students attend is to maintain their attendance. It feels more like a kindergarten class than a college. By end of the first year, students will likely feel frustrated. Semester exams are neither particularly easy nor too difficult. However, passing rate is over 85%.

One of the best institute in Karnataka for History.
Placements: The university offers very good placement opportunities for students in various roles. The program has a good track record of placement opportunities, with around 60-70% of students getting placed last year. Top recruiting companies for this course include Nielsen, KPMG, and TOI. The highest salary package offered last year was 7.5 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA, and the average package was 5 LPA, which is quite good for a history masters student. After completing the course, you also have government job opportunities as a historian, archivist, curator, archaeologist, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Mangalore University is good. It has well-equipped laboratories, free Wi-Fi, spacious classrooms, and all necessary facilities. The campus has a large and well-stocked library. Hostel facilities are available, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There are a variety of food options in the canteen, and the quality is good enough. There is a large playground surrounded by greenery for outdoor games. There are also advanced medical facilities.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are highly qualified and have specialized knowledge in their respective subjects. While some teachers may have a stronger teaching style than others, most are helpful and polite. The curriculum of our course is really good as it follows the latest syllabus and prepares students for the industry. Semester exams are not very difficult but we need to study well enough to pass.

Overall, it is the best university for M.A. - History & Archaeology.
Placements: 65% of the students were placed in banker and lecturer roles in a leading bank with a package of around 2-4 LPA. However, no internships are offered for outgoing students, which limits opportunities for students and can hinder their chances of finding better jobs.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are equipped with smart technology, and there are full-speed libraries. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, a gym, a tennis court, and a mess that serves three meals a day with excellent and varied cuisine. Wi-Fi is available on campus, and rooms and toilets are cleaned daily.
Faculty: Department teachers are very kind and helpful. They have good skills and knowledge in teaching and explaining concepts. Our courses are curriculum-relevant, making us industry-ready. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is relatively high, around 85%, reflecting the supportive academic environment and effective teaching methods.
