Admission to BSc at Mangalore University is merit-based/ entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Admission to several courses is offered based on the valid scores of accepted exams such as Karnataka PGCET, KCET, CAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, and other equivalent examinations. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 35% to 45% in Class 12 and 45% to 50% in graduation. 

Mangalore University offers admission to various UG, PG, PhD, Certificate and PG Diploma courses on the basis of merit and accepted entrance exams. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 for UG level admissions and graduation for PG level course admissions. Apart from this, candidates must qualify respective entrance exams for the preferred courses. 
Candidates must apply for the admission process through the online application process provided by the university. Post successful application submission, candidates will be shortlisted based on the merit list/ cutoff list of the accepted entrance exams. For final admission, candidates must pay the fees and confirm candidature.
