The faculty of social work in MSU Baroda are excellent.
Placements: Placements are good. But in 2017, the placement rate is getting low due to many reasons. Demonitisation is one of them. I joined the college in 2014, and in 2016, I saw placement was nearly 100%. Minimum salary offered in the campus placement was Rs. 20,000 per month and the highest was Rs. 70,000 per month. All the students have to do the internship compulsory during summer break. Placement cell is also there in which two professors are coordinated, and two students from each course assist them.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is nicely maintained. There is a garden in the college, and all the classrooms are clean. Water and sanitation facilities are available on every floor. There is also annexure building open for the bachelor students. There is no Wi-Fi in the college. I passed my three years over there, but Wi-Fi is still in the process said by an authority. Volleyball, cricket and indoor games like table tennis, carrom and chess are available there.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but some teachers are not qualified like they did not clear NET or PhD. Some teachers have good knowledge based on their experiences. Teaching quality was good. They are using different methods like power point presentation, group discussion, assignment etc. There is one teacher for 30 students. The curriculum was useful as it covered all the generic area which is required for social work field.
Other: It is a pioneer institute of social work in India and is first in Gujarat. The campus environment is good.
