Yes, you can join Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) based on merit. All students must meet the required percentage as per ttheir last educational qualification previous exams to be considered for admission.

For example, to be eligible for the BEd in Special Education course, candidates must be:

• Have a Master's Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities
• The candidate should have bachelor's programme with 50% aggregate.

Also eligible for the MBA course, students must be:

• Any graduate or Degree in Law/ Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Architecture
• Have a bachelor's degree from a recognised college or university.

Established in 1997, the Netaji Subhas Open University is a UGC-approved University. The university offers courses in distance mode. It has been accredited by NAAC with an A grade and has also been recognised by DEC and the Gov. of West Bengal. It is also an active member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the Association of Asian Open University (AAOU), and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).

Netaji Subhas Open University BSc course admissions are based on the ISC scores. The basic eligibility criteria is Class 12 with a minimum of 40-50% aggregate. There is no limit on the number of students who can do a BSc at Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU). NSOU is an open university, which means that it is open to all students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the BSc programme at NSOU is a pass in 10+2 examination from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates).

The admissions to the B.Sc programme at NSOU are done on a first-come-first-served basis. This means that the students who apply first are given priority in admission.
