The University offers 12 MA courses at the PG level. The eligibility criteria and selection process is Graduation and Merit-based. The duration of the course is two years. At NSOU, the MA in English, Political Science, and Bengali courses are offered by Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy Government College.

The minimum duration of the Programmee is two years from the date of registration for MA at Netaji Subhas Open University. The registration is valid for a period of maximum five years provided the candidate pays renewal fees and other relevant fees within due time as and when notified by the University. University conducts PG admission for January Session. Courses are offered in annual system.
Netaji Subhas Open University offers an MA in History through the School of Social Sciences. The course is spread over a minimum duration of two years and can be completed up to five years. The eligibility criteria are different for students from the CBCS and non-CBCS categories.
