College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry - A Path Towards Your Dreams and Success.
Placements: This course, which I am pursuing, is Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc AH). Last year, 90% of the passing-out students from our college are doing service as Veterinary Assistant Surgeons in Odisha, and some opted for PG and higher studies in this college. The average salary offered here is 70,000. In internships, students are also paid.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. There are different buildings for different departments. All buildings are new and equipped with all facilities. There are smart classrooms with nice accommodation. Availability of Wi-Fi, advanced laboratories with recent new technologies, and a library with books on all subjects. There are also hostels for boys and girls. The food quality is of top level, with a restaurant-like taste. Free medical facilities for all. Different sports like cricket, volleyball, football, and badminton are available. Scope for NCC, NSS, and PE.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified with good ranks. Their teaching quality is not comparable with others. Some have received the Best Teacher Award from the University. The course curriculum is nicely managed, and students are really interested and going for the betterment of this profession. Semester exams are easy, and students can score good grade points.
Other: I have chosen this course because I think it is different from others. I have a love for those who cannot tell or communicate with us. I think this profession should be given priority like other medical professions. There should be more seats for students, and internship money should increase. In this college, many conferences are organized, which are at the national level. Veterinary Day is also celebrated. Many tours are also done every year to different parts of India.

I am satisfied with the faculty members and their teaching styles.
Placements: As veterinary has become a level of class one officer, there is no problem regarding placements and packages. Here, job opportunities are secured after passing out. Around 90% of students have got their placements. The salary package offered is 12 LPA to 14 LPA. Companies like Amul India and other dairy companies also come for recruitment, or else you can go for PG and research purposes.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite decent. Classrooms are air-conditioned. The well-developed laboratories available are good. There is a library, a gym, and a computer room inside the campus. The hostel provides quality food. There is a sports ground for recreational purposes.
Faculty: Teachers are well-trained, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good. The course curriculum is professional and makes the students ready for their field. We have a yearly external exam accompanied by internal exams within a three-month interval. Students need to study here.
Other: After completing this course, we will be able to treat animals that can't speak for themselves. This course provides good job satisfaction along with a decent salary.

It is a good college with good placement rate, good infrastructure and teachers.
Placements: The placement rate is good. If you pass from this university, there are high chances of getting a government job. Many of them opted to prepare for the civil services examination too. The college guarantees 90% placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is satisfactory. It's a bit old college, so the buildings aren't well structured. The college needs to be maintained properly and regularly in order to keep it clean. That is the one thing they should correct, but the classrooms are good. The furniture and facilities are all okay.
Faculty: The college has good faculty members with experience. They are friendly, disciplined and helpful. They are well qualified with good skills and knowledge. Some of them are alumni of this college itself. So, they are better acquainted. Overall, the faculty members are very good.
Other: One of the top colleges in Odisha.
