Review of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar.
Placements: Most of the students apply for civil services in Odisha. Many students getting selected for civil services from our college. Many banks like IDBI bank, Mother Dairy, Pradan, Srijan, Indian Potash Limited, Wassan, and MK Agrico visit our college. Top roles offered are AAO and ASCO.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi. Classrooms are air-conditioned with digital boards. The library is big and clean. Hostels are neat and clean with tasty foods two times a day, lunch and dinner. The hostel doesn't have air-conditioner rooms. They clean and maintain the hostel on time.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They all have great knowledge and experience. The teaching quality is good. It is a good college. It is the government college of Odisha which is best for agricultural studies. Exams are moderate. The pass percentage is 99%.
Other: Top and one of the oldest government colleges in India. They conduct different webinars, scholarships, events, and functions. There are separate committees that hold different events like dramatics, sports, literature, etc. You will connect with different seniors.

Not satisfied as my expectations were high, but the college is not as I expected it to be.
Placements: In Bhubaneswar, some students got placed, but in Chiplima Agriculture College, no one was placed because students don't want to work in private companies with a wage of 15,000 to 20,000. In our college, students are focusing on UPSC and banking-related examinations, and many students also get jobs every year. Many students are placed under OPSC as Assistant Agriculture Officers.
Infrastructure: In hostels, Wi-Fi is installed and in the college as well. Air conditioning is present in the classrooms, and smart boards are available for writing purposes. The hostel rooms are well-furnished with marble flooring and cupboards with a lock system provided. Each student is given a chair, study table, and bed by the college. In some rooms, one fan is provided, and in others, two fans are provided. Overall, the infrastructure is good.
Faculty: To be eligible as OUAT faculty, one must complete their Ph.D.; after that, they are eligible. Teachers are quite helpful and very knowledgeable, and some faculty members come from research backgrounds. In my opinion, the course is relevant, but it needs some improvement so that everyone can get placed in agriculture-related fields. Semester examinations are not too difficult; one can easily pass.
Other: From my school days, I wanted to take admission in agriculture college as I am from an agricultural family. Placements should be given. A lot of events, programs, campaigns, and competitions are organized in our college. A minimum of 50 to 60 percent of students get scholarships every year, and it is around 20,000 per year.

I am highly satisfied with the good teaching faculty.
Placements: The highest salary is 10 lakhs per annum, the average salary is 6 lakhs per annum, and the lowest salary is 3 lakhs per annum. Above 72% of students get placed. The top recruiting companies are DuPont India Ltd and Rasi Seeds. The top roles are farm manager and quality assurance. Sixty percent of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The campus provides good hostel facilities with separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel contains 24-hour hot water, and the food provided is good. We have a beautiful mess that can accommodate around 500 students. The infrastructure is good, and our department has separate blocks. The labs are well-equipped, and a library is also available, along with Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Many faculty members are well-trained and have a lot of experience, with most of them being Ph.D. holders. They possess good knowledge and are all helpful to the students, always clarifying our doubts. The course curriculum is good, and the pass percentage is 68%.

Good campus always encourages good studies.
Placements: There are almost 250 students from every batch. Placement offers are newly added in our college. Both the banking sectors and agriculture sectors are offering the placement. 20-30 percent of the students are selected in the placement interview. Canara Bank and Punjab National Bank are mostly offering the placement to the students, and many other oil SEED companies and agriculture-related companies are also offering the opportunities to the students.
Infrastructure: In our college, they provide Wi-Fi and the latest technology installed in labs. Classrooms are digitalized and have AC-fitted rooms. In our hostels are developing now with new infrastructure. It will look like an old one, but the college is fully equipped with the latest technology, installed rooms, and mechanisms.
Faculty: Faculty and curriculum are mostly favorable to the students, and the teaching faculty are always encouraging the students for studies, sports, and other cultural activities. Faculty will support the students in exam times. Most of the students passed the semester exams. Faculty conduct the practical with students by the farmers. It is most helpful for the students to know about actual farming work.
Other: It was the 2nd old agricultural college in India. Most of the students are holding jobs in banking sectors and civil services.

Good for student life but no assurance of job.
Placements: There is no placement after graduation. Zero placement. But you can do an MBA in agribusiness management for placement. No company comes after graduation for recruitment. You have to go for higher education like an M.Sc. or Ph.D., or you can go to prepare for a competitive examination.
Infrastructure: The college and hostel infrastructure is good. The hostel and college are equipped with Wi-Fi. Labs and classrooms are well-equipped. Classrooms are equipped with smartboards and projectors. All the classes are in AC. All the students were accommodated in the hostel. Both boys and girls hostels are available. The food is also very good.
Faculty: Semester exams are easy to pass. Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Some classes are boring. The course curriculum is very updated and relevant. All students pass semester exams easily. Some lectures are very boring. You can get enough time to prepare for other competitive exams.
Other: All events are organized nicely. Connectivity is very good. You can avail scholarship like post-matriculation, matric scholarship, Kalia scholarship, etc. Even the university provides a merit scholarship.

It is a very good college for education.
Placements: There are no placements in this college. Our college does not offer any placements since 2015. I would not recommend students to join this college. You have to compete for AHO, AAO, and AFO posts via entrance exams. Few students also opted for higher studies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are air-conditioned. Our campus has good environment. Laboratory is well-equipped. Mess is available. Canteen is very good. There is a dispensary on campus. Sports and games are conducted in this college. Wi-Fi is available in our college and hostel. There is a decent library in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. The teaching quality is better. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. It follows the ICAR course curriculum only. Semester exams are very difficult. The pass criterion is 5.5 CGPA. If we study properly, we can score good marks.

Our college is very good.
Placements: Placements are not good in our college. Our college provides jobs in private agriculture colleges. It also provides many opportunities in the government sector. Students are more attracted to the banking sector.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. New buildings are being constructed for academic extension purposes. PG buildings are very good. There is no cafe in our college. Hostels are old. New hostels are good with study tables, chairs, dormitory, and indoor games.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are very supportive and caring. Semester exams are very hectic. We have 10-12 subjects every semester. All subjects are good.
Other: It is the second oldest university in India.

I am not satisfied with this college because of its teachers.
Placements: Our college provides fewer placement opportunities for graduates. Prestigious companies won't visit our college to recruit students. Top recruiting companies are Amul, Odisha Livelihoods Mission, and Pradan CYSD. They offer low salary packages. The top role offered is in sales. Around 7-8 out of 242 students got placed in our batch.
Infrastructure: Our campus is spacious. Classrooms are equipped with air-conditioners. The library is a gem. Labs are average. Wi-Fi facility is not available in our college and hostel. The hostel is comfortable and hygienic. The food served in the mess is above average.
Faculty: Our teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The curriculum needs some updates. The teaching quality is below average. The teaching quality is up to the mark. Semester exams are tedious. The teaching is lacking in certain areas.
Other: This course provides technical knowledge. The teaching should be concentrated on making it student-friendly and easy to apply. Events and extracurricular activities are held in our college. Our campus surroundings are good.
