BA LLB at PG College of Law, Osmania University, is fulfilling eligibility for candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% (40% in SC/ST categories) aggregate marks from a recognised board. Subjects can be of any stream-science, commerce, or arts, giving the flexibility of application.The other qualifying test is also the TS LAWCET (Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test). Minimum rank depends on that year's cutoffs, which are usually around 50-60 marks out of 120 for general category. Age limits are in accordance with BCI norms which are usually less than 20 years (22 for reserved categories) at the time of admission.Fulfillment of these academic and entrance requirements guarantees eligibility with the selection finally being made on counseling and seat availability in the five-year integrated program.

The PG College of Law at Osmania University is generally seen to be a second-tier law school in India. It is not included in what can be called the first tier (other such members being the NLSIU Bangalore and NALSAR Hyderabad), which instead are at the top national law university status, highly funded, and globally recognized.The situation of the PG College is, however, rather strong regionally, with quality legal education backed by Osmania University and its historical stature. It has its share of good students enrolling in the BA LLB and LLM programs, has good placement records (INR 4–12 LPA), and has good and experienced faculty. When it comes to infrastructure development and research output, the performance is just satisfactory and yet far from tier one standards. This means that it is supposed to be one of the better options in the Telangana region apart from NALSAR, hence regarded as an upper-level tier 2 institution, admiringly regarded for its economy and its connectivity with the local legal fraternity.

With 60 marks in TS LAWCET, admission into PG College of Law, Osmania University, is somewhat tough for the LLM programme but can be possible depending on cutoffs and category.TS LAWCET for LLM stands at 120 marks with a minimum of 60 marks for admission, that being half, a fair minimum. The cut-off for the general category usually falls within 65-75 marks, while formerly SC/ST cut-off ranges between 50-60. In the case of OBC candidates, the cut-off often stands between 60-70. In that case at 60 marks, general candidates probably would be out of admission in the first round but may be able to make it through counseling rounds if seats remain vacant. Reserved category applicants will stand a better chance, given the fewer participants.The general admission of any candidate also depends on the rank, enjoy the benefits of about 20-30 seats for the LLM batch, and annual-cutoff trends;

The application fee for the BA LLB programme at PG College of Law, Osmania University is largely dependent on the TS LAWCET entrance examination. For the year 2025, this fee is between INR 500 to almost INR 800 for general and OBC candidates as sampled in the last years, while SC/ST candidates pay around INR 500.It is mainly for registration to the exam and paid up online at the submission of the application. Other expenses such as the counseling fees (INR 500–1,000) may apply after the results for seat allocation. The college does not charge itself an additional application fee apart from what TS LAWCET prescribes. This is the norm for all law admissions in the state of Telangana, although caution for marginal augmentation in 2025 must be exercised;

Due to the public nature of PG College of Law, Osmania University, fees for the LLM programme are quite accessible. For a two-year program, the tuition fee is around INR 10,000–15,000 per year, totaling approximately INR 20,000–30,000 over the two years.Other expenses include examination fees (about INR 1,000–2,000 yearly), library fees (INR 500–1,000), and registration (INR 1,000 one time), adding up to the total expenditure of INR 25,000–35,000. If needed, hostel fees would be additional at INR 10,000–15,000 per year. Compared to private law schools that charge in excess of INR 1,00,000 per annum, it is truly economical.The fees may differ for a few by way of categories (e.g. SC/ST concessions) or slight annual revisions, but it matches with TS state university parameters
