Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) Admission Process 2026
PDEU admission process includes the application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list and counselling. Students need to complete all the admission stages to get a seat in the university. Aspirants can get admission under ACPC or All India Quota. See below the steps to get a seat in the university:
PDEU Application Process 2026
Aspirants need to fill out the application form on the university's website for admission on All India Quota seats. Aspirants can apply for Government seat by applying on the official website of ACPC for BTech, MBA and MTech programmes. Aspirants need to pay INR 700 each to apply for BSc, MTech, MA and PhD courses. The application fees is INR 1,000 each for BA LLB, LLB and BTech courses.
Selection and Shortlisting
The university accepts students via both merit and entrance basis.
- For BTech, MBA and MTech courses, the university has divided the intake in All India and Government quota. Under the all-India quota, students are selected based on JEE Main scores for BTech, GATE for MTech and CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT for MBA. Aspirants can get admission via ACPC based on GUJCET in BTech programme. For MBA and MTech, candidates can directly apply for ACPC with their entrance exam scores for admission in Government Quota seats.
- The university conducts online written test to shortlist students for MSc, MA, BA LLB, LLB and BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) and BBA (Hons). The university also accepts CLAT scores for Law courses and SAT or IPMAT for SLS UG courses.
- Admission in BSc, BSc (Hons) and Integrated MSc is merit-based.
- Phase-I admission for MTech is only for GATE qualified candidates.
- Phase II admission process is for non-GATE and GATE qualified aspirants. Non-GATE aspirants are offered admission based on their performance in PI subject to availability of seats.
Selected students are then called in for interview round.
Merit List and Seat Allotment
The university releases a provisional merit list on the official website of the university. The admission to 75% seats is under All India Quota based on entrance exam scores of the aspirants. ACPC offers admission in 25% seats in BTech, MBA and MTech programmes.
Admission Confirmation
Selected students have to report for verification of documents and pay the admission fees to complete the process. Check below common documents required at the time of reporting:

PDEU Fees & Seats 2026
The fee structure of the university includes different components. These are tuition fees, admission fees, university enrollment fee, hostel caution deposit, and more. Some of these are one-time payments. The others are recurring. Students can complete the payment through the accecpted payment gateway.

PDEU Fee Refund Policy 2026
The university refund fees as per the policy in case of withdrawal of admission. Students seeking refund need to submit fee receipt, admission letter and letter of request for withdrawal duly signed by him or her and counter signed by parent/ guardian, if required. PDEU Seat Reservation 2026
The university has limited intake for its programme. PDEU seats may vary as per the course type and number of specialisations. The university reserves its intake for SC/ ST/ OBC categories. Further, the total intake is also divided in All India and Government quota.

PDEU (School of Liberal Studies) offers a regular BCom (Hons) course in four specialisations such as BCom (Hons) in Finance and Accounts, BFSI & FinTech, Marketing & Management and Entrepreneurship & International Trade.
