Both of the universities are renowned for Engineering courses in the state. IKGPTU offer more BTech courses in comparison to Punjab University (PU). As per the unofficial sources, PTU offers 511 BTech programmes through its constituent and affiliated colleges, while PU offers 32 courses. The eligibility criteria for University Business School Executive MBA course is bachelor’s degree in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised university or two years of working experience in a commercial or industrial establishment after having passed the qualifying examination.

UBS Chandigarh offers seven courses in full-time mode at PG and doctoral levels. University Business School offers full-time MBA (General), MBA Human Resource (HR), MBA International Business (IB), Executive MBA, MBA Entrepreneurship and MCom (Hons) at PG level. This entrance test is organised by the Panjab University, Chandigarh once in a year in offline mode. The test is conducted for a duration of 90 minutes including 100 questions in the MCQ format.
