The candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks in the subject of Post-Graduate course or 50% marks in the aggregate B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons). OR The candidate should have a Master's degree examination in any other subject provided the candidate has studied Punjabi compulsory at graduate level.

The eligibility criteria for M.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine at Panjab University differ for reserved category candidates. The minimum qualifications for admission to M.Sc. first year in Nuclear Medicine include a B.Sc. from a recognised university with Physics and Chemistry (Non-medical Stream) or Chemistry & Zoology/Biotechnology (Medical Stream) as core subjects. Candidates having B.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine / Biophysics are also eligible for admission to the course. However, candidates with B.Sc. degree in X-ray/Medical Technology, B.Sc. through correspondence and Open University stream are not eligible. The admission to M.Sc. course in Nuclear Medicine is through Joint Entrance Test, to be conducted by the Panjab University.
