To fill the PU CET UG 2026 application form, candidates will need to follow these steps:1. Visit the official PU CET website.2. Click on the "Apply Now" button.3. There is no update on PU CET (UG) 2024 exam so far. The eligibility criteria for admission in OPEN quota (Non-PU quota) seats through PUMDET is as follows:The candidate must have passed (not before 2024) or appeared in B.A. (Hons/ Major)/ B.Sc. (Hons/ Major) examination in 2024 from any recognised University.Candidates, who have appeared for their B.A. (Hons/ Major)/B.Sc. (Hons/ Major) examination and have their final results at the time of counselling will have to mandatorily produce all original mark sheets/ grade cards of all semester/ annual examinations passed at the Bachelor’s level. Such candidates must fulfill the academic eligibility norms for their applied courses tabled below for admission.Candidates, who have appeared for their final B.A. (Hons/ Major)/ B.Sc. (Hons/ Major) examination, but do not have their final results at the time of counselling, will be given provisional admission, on the basis of production of their mark sheets/ grade cards of all previous semester/annual examinations at their Bachelor’s level.However, they must submit their final mark sheet by the mentioned date, demonstrating that they fulfil the minimum conditions of eligibility tabled below, failing which their admission will stand cancelled. Therefore, the candidate must secure the minimum required percentage of marks/ CGPA in Hons/ Major subject as per the following table in his/ her B.A. (Hons/ Major)/ B.Sc. (Hons/ Major) examination for final and confirmed admission.

The admission process for PG and PG Diploma courses at Pondicherry University started on Jul 26 and was supposed to end on Jul 31. However, the last date to apply extended till Aug 18, 2023. The university has also released the list of selected students under all these courses and the last date of fee payment for the shortlisted students is Sep 22. 

The eligibility criteria for the PU-CET (PG) exam is different for different courses. The following is the minimum eligibility criteria for PU-CET (PG) exam:Candidates must have completed a bachelor degree in the relevant field or a related discipline from a recognised university or institution. They must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation, orStudents must have passed the final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or England or Institute of Cost Accountants of India or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of England or Institute of Company Secretaries of India, orStudent holds a Diploma in Personnel Management and Labour Welfare or Diploma in Marketing Management with not less than 60% aggregateExecutive experience of two years or above in a full-time job in a commercial or industrial establishment after having passed the qualifying examination

Candidates were supposed to appear and clear PUMDET in order to get admission to the PG course interested in. However, 5% relaxation is given in the cut-off for students of Presidency University. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts PUMDET to shortlist aspirants for admission in MA and MSc programmes offered at Presidency University, Kolkata. Presidency University Master Degree Entrance Test (PUMDET) comprises separate entrance tests for admission in Science and humanities courses.
