It is one of the most sought after engineering colleges in Kerala.Now the college is managed by Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS), a society established by Government of Kerala; under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister for Education.All the courses conducted by the college have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. University College of Engineering, Thodupuzha offers the B.E. / B.Tech programmes for admission to which candidates are selected based on KEAM. However, the candidates who couldn't appear for KEAM can register under the Management quota, though these intakes are restricted.
