The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) conducts its own entrance examination for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. For reserved category students, the admission criteria for B.V.Sc. & A.H. at SKUAST includes a minimum age of 19 years, and the candidate must have passed the Bachelor's degree examination with a minimum OGPA of 5.50/10.00 or equivalent percentage (55%) of marks.

The SKUAST offers admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. course based on the marks obtained in the entrance test, with candidates requiring 50% marks in aggregate for the open category and 40% for reserved categories, in addition to passing 10+2 or an equivalent examination with PCB subjects and English.

They must have passed Higher Secondary Part II (12th) with PCB/PCM/PCBM or Agriculture from a recognized board/examining body, besides English, with 50% marks in aggregate for OM, NRI/NRI-sponsored/OCI category, and 40% for reserved categories. Candidates must also appear in the SKUAST-J Entrance Test, selecting Physics, Chemistry, and Biology sections.
