SRMU: Reality and dreams will follow.
Placements: 50%-60% of students got placed in our course. The highest package offers 6.5 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Nestle India, Pepsi.co, Amul, Coca-Cola, Britannia, Parle products, and many others. 100% of students get internships in our courses in brewery companies. Roles offered in food technology include food auditor, food safety officer, sensory analyst, lab analyst, and product manager.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are provided by the institute, they have separate labs for each stream, like food tech, microbiology, and biotechnology, and the classes are well-furnished. The labs are well-equipped. The quality of food in the hostel is okay, but the canteen food is good, medical facilities are well-provided, and sports and games. There are separate spaces for every sport, like basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, and indoor game hall.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful with the students and are well-qualified, and the teaching here is well-disciplined compared to other colleges. The semester exams are not that tough, and all you have to score 25% in practical and theory separately, not combined.
Other: I chose this course for better career opportunities, scope of innovation, and interesting learning.

Infrastructure: The hostels are generally good, but there are more issues with fights among students. There are specific rules for girls regarding privacy and safety; for instance, girls are not allowed to go out after 5 PM unless permitted by their parents, and the warden signs off on it.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and well-qualified, with some even having backgrounds as scientists. Their way of communicating is effective, which enhances our learning experience. For semester exams, there is a minimum attendance criterion of 75%, and regular attendance helps in acquiring more knowledge and preparation for placements.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do something different from the crowd, as many people opt for medicine or engineering. Agriculture is also a great field for a career, with good government job opportunities. The program emphasizes practical experience, and there are many events, including an annual fest. Placements: B.Tech gets placement mostly. B.Sc. doesn't get many companies, as heard from our seniors. So, placement after 3 years of B.Sc. is quite rare, but if we get placed, we get a below-average package. So, there is a need to work upon this. M.Sc. Biotechnology got placed this year.
Infrastructure: Labs need to be improved in terms of materials and chemicals for the experiments. Otherwise, everything is fine. We are instructed well about the experiments to be performed and also perform the experiments. Just some chemicals aren't available. Rest is okay.
Faculty: Our course has the best knowledgeable faculty members. Classes are held properly. Notes are given properly. We gain a lot of knowledge in college itself if we attend regular classes. Faculty are ready to help if we didn't understand. Semesters and internals are of a good level.
Other: Giving all 3 internals is compulsory, which gives a lot of pressure. No time is left for self-study. Also, the timings are complete no.

College is the best providing environment for studies as well as extra curricular activities.
Placements: The highest package offered in my college is 92 Lacs for MBA. All the packages range between 7.5-8 or 9 Lacs per annum. 50% students go for internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart and many others visit for hiring. B.Tech CSE is the most known course in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi on every floor of the building. The college has 8 buildings including the hostel. The area is quite broad. There are many canteens, cafeterias, hotspots, etc. in the campus. Medical facilities and ambulance are provided. Mess food is okay. As I’m not a hostler, so I don't know much.
Faculty: Faculty members are the best, they motivate and guide the students whenever they need help. They are like our family supporting us in every difficult phase of life. They encourage us to take part in other activities of dance and games like volleyball, football, etc. The course makes the students industry ready.
Other: I chose this course because I want to go for research in drugs or pharmaceuticals and the best thing about my course is the laboratory.

Placements: There are no placements for students from the college in food technology. In the last batch, there were 2-3 placements in Coca Cola company in a class of 15 students, and other students applied for higher studies. Average packages offered in the course are about 6 LPA. You may prepare for government exams.
Infrastructure: There are hi-tech labs on the campus, and the library has all amenities, including course-related books and study material. The hostel is also good in quality; there is a good mess and canteen which serves almost every type of food except non-veg. We also have a sports office and medical room on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have great experience in their respective fields of teaching. They use innovative teaching methods, and assignments provided are very much related to practical as well as theoretical knowledge. Yes, the curriculum here has a very practical approach from faculty members. The semester exams are of moderate level, and the internals are easy if you prepare well.
Other: I chose the course to do something different and to make people aware of the course and the field. There is a need for improvement in the placement cell and internship programs for food technology students. There are a lot of events—cultural, sports, business conclaves, etc.—held from time to time for entertainment as well as personality development of students. There are various clubs focusing on these types of talents such as acting, dance, fashion walk, poetry, and many more.
