SRMU: Reality and dreams will follow.

Placements: 50%-60% of students got placed in our course. The highest package offers 6.5 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Nestle India, Pepsi.co, Amul, Coca-Cola, Britannia, Parle products, and many others. 100% of students get internships in our courses in brewery companies. Roles offered in food technology include food auditor, food safety officer, sensory analyst, lab analyst, and product manager.

Infrastructure: All the facilities are provided by the institute, they have separate labs for each stream, like food tech, microbiology, and biotechnology, and the classes are well-furnished. The labs are well-equipped. The quality of food in the hostel is okay, but the canteen food is good, medical facilities are well-provided, and sports and games. There are separate spaces for every sport, like basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, and indoor game hall.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful with the students and are well-qualified, and the teaching here is well-disciplined compared to other colleges. The semester exams are not that tough, and all you have to score 25% in practical and theory separately, not combined.

Other: I chose this course for better career opportunities, scope of innovation, and interesting learning.

Review on Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University on (Food Technology).

Placements: There are no placements for students from the college in food technology. In the last batch, there were 2-3 placements in Coca Cola company in a class of 15 students, and other students applied for higher studies. Average packages offered in the course are about 6 LPA. You may prepare for government exams.

Infrastructure: There are hi-tech labs on the campus, and the library has all amenities, including course-related books and study material. The hostel is also good in quality; there is a good mess and canteen which serves almost every type of food except non-veg. We also have a sports office and medical room on the campus.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have great experience in their respective fields of teaching. They use innovative teaching methods, and assignments provided are very much related to practical as well as theoretical knowledge. Yes, the curriculum here has a very practical approach from faculty members. The semester exams are of moderate level, and the internals are easy if you prepare well.

Other: I chose the course to do something different and to make people aware of the course and the field. There is a need for improvement in the placement cell and internship programs for food technology students. There are a lot of events—cultural, sports, business conclaves, etc.—held from time to time for entertainment as well as personality development of students. There are various clubs focusing on these types of talents such as acting, dance, fashion walk, poetry, and many more.
