Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit Admission 2025: Eligibility, Dates & Selection Criteria

Yes, there are seat reservations at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Reservation of Seats will be as per the Govt./University Orders and UGC guidelines. The university reserves places for those who fall under the following categories: SC, ST, OBC, OEC, SEBC, blind, differently abled, orphans, athletes, NCC, NSS, Kalathilakam, Kalaprathibha. 

SSUS BA admissions are both merit-based and entrance-based for some of the specialisations. The admissions to some of the BA programme specialisations will depend on the merit of the student. However, the University also accepts the rank of an aptitude test conducted for BA Music, BA Dance (Mohiniyattam/ Bharatanatyam) courses followed by an Interview. Therefore, candidates can get direct admission in some of the specialisations. 

SSUS BA course admission 2024 is both merit and entrance-based. The University has introduced the Single Window System to avoid delay in the processing of representations, requests, applications submitted by students. The University has a centralised admission process. Given below is the SSUS BA admission process 2024:

Step 1: SSUS BA Application Process 2024

Candidates must submit the application form through the University's website and pay SSUS BA application fees. The application fee can also be remitted through Demand Draft.

Step 2: SSUS BA Selection Criteria 2024

The admission will depend on the merit and accordingly, they can decide their centers. The University also accepts the scores of an aptitude test for BA Music, BA Dance (Mohiniyattam/ Bharatanatyam) courses. Candidates must also appear for an Interview.

Step 3: SSUS BA Counselling and Seat Allotment

Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the counselling process and pay SSUS BA course fees.

The selected candidates who get admission to the BA programme offered at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit must submit the following original documents during the time of admission:

• Class 10 marksheet to prove the age
• Class 12 marksheet 
• Community Certificate (for SC/ ST/ OEC/ OBC candidates)
• Conduct Certificate
• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate
• Admit Card and Score Card of the aptitude test conducted for BA Music and BA Dance (Mohiniyattam / Bharatanatyam) 

Cutoff scores for MA programs at SSUS can vary year-to-year. At Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, a minimum of 55% in aggregate or equivalent grades in aggregate is required for an MA. Increased cutoffs may result from excessive demand for particular MA programmes. A higher cutoff may be the outcome of a programme with fewer seats. A more difficult exam could result in a smaller spread of scores overall and, as a result, a smaller cutoff.

SSUS administers entrance tests specifically for certain programmes. There could be a minimum qualifying score for each exam. SSUS BA admission dates have not been announced yet by the University for the academic year 2024. However, according to the 2023 data,  SSUS BA deadline for submission of application forms will be tentatively in June and SSUS BA Cutoffs will be released tentatively in July.
