The 2024 placements concluded with 1,024 single job offers and 604 multiple offers made. The highest package offered was INR 25 LPA. Alongside this, the average package during Swami Vivekananda University Kolkata placements in 2024 stood at INR 3 LPA. The list of recruiters included Wipro, PwC, Panacea Smart Solutions, and many others.
The University has a placement cell that aims to increase the employability skills of students at institutional and industrial levels. The Training and Placement Cell arranges and coordinates various programmes that aim at moulding the students to meet the industry expectations in career building and in turn, bring laurels to the parent institution.

Infrastructure is nice. Placements are fabulous and also the college is reputed.
Placements: 90% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is approximately 50 LPA, top required. Top companies that hire from our college include Byju's, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, etc. 80% of students got internships in this course in these companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and classroom are neat and clean. They provide us with purified water, and bathrooms are so good. The quantity and quality of the food are delicious. Hostel rooms are well-groomed, neat, and clean. They also provide us laptop, cooler, and washing machines for washing clothes.
Faculty: They are doing their job perfectly, and they give us very important and valuable lessons, also they have good knowledge. Semester exams are vary for every student but teachers provide us with the important notes, and pass percentage is 96-97%. I am excited about my next year's placements.
Other: I chose this course for my better future. I will go to many departments so I chose it. I also get SVMCM scholarship. The infrastructure is good. Campus is just wow, and also faculty members are good behaviour.

Campus is very good and clean.
Placements: I belong to the B.Tech (ECE) batch of 2023, and my experience with placements and internships has been quite insightful. In our course, around 80-85% of students are successfully placed during the campus recruitment drive. Top recruiters for our course included companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, and product-based firms such as Amazon, IBM, and Microsoft (through off-campus drives).
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my course and hostel is overall well-equipped to support both academic and personal growth. Our department has access to spacious and smart classrooms with projectors and digital boards, which make learning interactive and engaging. Wi-Fi connectivity across the academic block is strong, ensuring that students can easily access online study material and resources. Computer labs are modern and updated with the required software, while the electronics and communication labs have well-maintained instruments for hands-on learning.
Faculty: Faculty members of our course have been one of the strongest aspects of the program. Most of the teachers are highly qualified, approachable, and willing to clear doubts both inside and outside the classroom. They not only have strong academic knowledge but also have practical exposure through real-world examples and project guidance. The course curriculum is fairly well-structured and updated with core subjects, electives, and labs that cover essential areas. It is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in theoretical knowledge while also providing exposure to practical applications through internships, projects, and workshops.

SVU is good, and only management is too busy.
Placements: Many students got placed at TCS and Wipro. Average students were placed in 5 LPA jobs, and the highest got 25 LPA in ECE. Now they are improving for placement, and new companies also come and review. Most visited company was TCS. Placement offers were not too poor, it was average.
Infrastructure: They were always busy with something. They should add more stuff from money matters. Library and classroom were excellent but management department did not have a plan for how to handle too much students. They also delayed in scholarship, except that all was okay.
Faculty: Teachers were too good. They explained everything from basics, and they made students ready for jobs. There were two internal exams both were 40 marks, internal topic, which they taught you in class, end term was 60 marks, this was difficult to score.
Other: I wanted to become an engineer that's why I chose this field. Best thing was programming language, and I liked it. I wish they would add a subject on how to solve a problem, basic to advanced, in exchange for physics and chemistry at SVU. Many fests were conducted by college management, activities like they trained you for football, cricket, karate, etc., what you like gym also.

Placements: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, batch 2021–2025. The placement percentage is 75%. The highest package is 5 LPA, the lowest package is 2.5 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA. The top recruiters include Tata Motors and Mahindra. The internship percentage is 70%, and the internship company is Tata Steel.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a rich library support the mechanical course. Hostels are clean with decent food, 24/7 medical care, and good sports facilities, making the campus experience comfortable and balanced. Cricket and football grounds are available.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is industry-relevant with practical exposure. The semester exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is around 85%, ensuring fair evaluation.

I suggest students do not join this college. It is better to join other colleges.
Placements: 89% of students get placed in my course. The highest package is 24 LPA (off-campus), and the lowest package is 4 LPA (on-campus). The average package is 5 LPA (on-campus). The top recruiting company is TCS. Actually, we didn't have any internships, but as far as I know, about 80% of students get internships. The top roles offered in my course are game developer, software engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: We can proudly say that they collect money from us. There is a lot of advanced infrastructure. Everything is good.
Faculty: Teachers are not helpful. They are not so much qualified but not knowledgeable. Teaching quality is not so good. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it doesn't make students industry-ready. It is not so hard to pass the semester exams. The pass percentage is 91%. Faculty members are good, but their behaviour sometimes is really worse than anything.
Other: I chose this course just to secure my future. The best thing is that I can make my imagination through coding. Events are too good and more fun.

Overall, the campus is good. Placements are average. I am dissatisfied with management.
Placements: The top courses offered here are B.Tech in CSE, biotechnology, agriculture, and radiology. The highest package is 24 LPA from the CSE department. Top companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc., visit the college for placements. Nearly 80% of students get internships from our university. Nearly 90% of students get placed from the B.Tech CSE course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very mesmerizing and still under construction, as many more blocks are being built. Most of the blocks have Wi-Fi, and laboratories are up to the mark. The library's ambience is too good, and we have to visit it once to feel the ambience. The college has its own paramedical department, so in case someone is injured, treatment is given.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They have vast knowledge in their domains. The course curriculum is relevant, but it still follows the old pattern for engineering. Semester exams depend on the subject and may vary from student to student. The pass percentage is nearly 90%.
Other: I had a keen interest in computers from childhood, which led me to join this course. The best thing about the course is that it's according to the current and future market requirements. The management could have been better, and there could have been clubs such as music, dance, acting, etc. Events are always around the corner, happening every 2 months. Seminars are held monthly by honored persons.
