For reserved category students, the admission criteria for M.Sc. in Microbiology at SPPU is through an entrance examination conducted by the department itself, based on the B.Sc. Microbiology Syllabus of Pune University. The intake capacity is 40 students.

Admission criteria for B.Tech. in Computer Engineering at DY Patil University Pune:
* The candidate must be an Indian National.
* Passed the 10+2 examination with any three of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, and obtained at least 45% marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories) in the above subjects taken together.
* Obtained non-zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT CET 2025 (PCM or PCB) and obtained non-zero score in MHT-CET 2025/PERACET 2025 conducted by the Competent Authority.
* Or, passed minimum three years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks.
* Or, passed three years Diploma of Vocation (D.Voc.) Stream in the same or allied sector.
* Or, passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent Examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship, and obtained at least 45% marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories) in the above subjects taken together.
