UNIRAJ MEd Courses & Fees 2025: Admission Dates, Accepted Exam, Seats, Placement

Candidates who are offered admission to the UNIRAJ MEd programme must pay the first installment of tuition fees. The tuition fee to be paid for a two-year duration ranges from INR 4,800 to INR 58,000.

Candidates seeking admission to the University of Rajasthan MEd programme must first do an eligibility check. Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria must register for the PBMET exam. It is a state-level entrance test conducted by Kota University. Next, they must appear for the exam at the scheduled date.

Once the Rajasthan PBMET exam results are announced, students must participate in the university-level seat allocation process. Those who get a seat must complete the document verification process. Upon successful verification, pay the admission fee to secure the admission.

MEd graduates can pursue a wide array of roles in government schools, public educational institutions, and public sector organisations. These roles are teacher, professor, administrator, academic counsellor, etc.

At these roles, fresh MEd graduates can expect to start with a salary ranging from INR 5 to INR 6 LPA. Students who wish to work in a PSU can take various government exams,  such as Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) exams, UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Exams, etc.

The last date to fill out the Rajasthan University MEd application forms is not yet released. The university generally opens the admission portal for MEd admission process in March. Once the portal is open, candidates seeking admission must apply for the programme.

Once the UNIRAJ counselling process is over, students with admission offers are required to report for verification of documents. While reporting, students are required to present the following documents:

UNIRAJ has not yet released any recent placement stats. However, as per the NIRF 2025 placement stats for 2024, the University recorded a median package for UG 3 year graduates at INR 5 LPA. Around 120 UG 3-year students appeared for placement, among which 32 received a placement. Similarly, 1973 PG 2 year students appeared for placements, among which 288 received a placement, marking the median package of INR 5 LPA. Placements for various courses is subjective as some professional courses provide various placement opportunities in exchange of various non-professional courses. 

No, University of Rajasthan MEd admissions are purely entry-based. As per an official brochure, the university accepts a valid score in the state-level entrance test, i.e., PBMET. Thus, students seeking admission to this programme must register and appear for the exam. Based on scores obtained in the exam, students are ranked and allocated a seat. 

As per University of Rajasthan BSc cutoff data 2024, the last round percentage for the general AI category ranged from 96.4% to 99.6%. Earlier, in 2023, the cutoff for BSc admissions for the same category ranged from 97.6% to 99.6%. The fluctuation in cutoff shows that the competition for the BSc courses has increased in 2024.

The UNIRAJ BSc admission process begins with the application process. Students get two modes to apply, online and offline. In order to apply via offline mode, students are required to first visit the university's official website and download the application form. After that, they have to print it, fill it out, and send the application form to the university's admission office by post.

UNIRAJ offers good placements. The median package offered during 2022 placements was INR 4.5 LPA. This data is only for UG three year course students.

The University of Rajasthan offers a full-time BSc programme via 15+ affiliated colleges. This amounts to an intake of 35,000+ seats for the BSc programme. Some of the colleges with prominent seat intakes include Shrimati Panadevi Morijawala Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya, University Maharani College, Parishkar International College, and others. Out of all, University Maharani College has the highest intake with 880 seats.

Yes, a certain percentage of the total seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates seeking admission to the Rajasthan University BTech programe. As per the university's seat reservation policy, 16% of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. Moreover, 12% seats are reserved for the Scheduled Tribe candidates.
