B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2028

Review of Lucknow University for B.Tech CSE.
Placements: 60 percent of students got placed in tech-related companies other will be placed in sales or edtech-related companies or get admission to M.Tech via GATE. The highest package is about 14LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA. The average package is 6 LPA. Soti is the top recruiting company this year.
Infrastructure: The only thing I like is my library other than this I don't like anything about my college. We have been in the same classroom for 2 years, and there is no smart board facility provided for us, and no AC in our class. You have lots of extra time because classes are not mandatory to attend, as no action is taken for being absent but it affects you if you are a scholarship student.
Faculty: Exams are not very difficult but also not very easy. The students who have gone through all the topics of the syllabus once can manage to score above 8 SGPA, but the curriculum is not relevant, it is not going to make you industry-ready. You have to make yourself industry-ready by learning skills on your own.
Other: No events, fests, and campus life. You will feel like you are in school. I would improve events related to tech. I will make sure workshops are held a lot rather than just lectures in the events. Also, I would like to improve the water facility of the new building of Lucknow University. The best thing about my course is that I can take a lot of leaves without any problem for my skills.

If your main goal is other competitive exams, then go for it.
Placements: It is a government-funded college and it does not promise to give you a placement. Some companies come here for orientation and they select a few bright students whom they see as having capabilities. Some of the big coaching institutes hire the Science students as teachers and give them a good package.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very old, renovation is to be done. The library is very old and the books there are yellowish because many of the books were brought there 50 years ago. There are no hostel facilities provided by the college. There is no canteen also. A playground is there but no equipment is there to play any sport.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and supportive. They are all highly qualified and ensure that no students have difficulty understanding the topic. Although the B.Sc. curriculum is old but it can still be relevant to those who are preparing for CSIR NET and entrance exams like IIT JAM.
Other: I chose this course because I am currently preparing for competitive exams, and I am also good at science, that's why I chose B.Sc. Maths. This college is for the same kind of students as me who are preparing for some competitive exams.

Dissatisfied with college infrastructure and curriculum.
Placements: Placements are good. Around 40-50% of students get placements with packages averaging around 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TVS, Bajaj, Parag, Coca-Cola, etc. Around 70-80% of students got internships, which is really high and very good for students to learn skills. Top roles include HR manager, Finance, and startup business.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not too good; the college was earlier a hospital and later changed into a college. In classrooms, there are benches for students, a whiteboard, a marker, and a podium. There are 4 fans in the classroom and 2 windows for ventilation. In the hostel, there's a bed, an almirah and a locker provided, and you have to share your room with at least 2 people. The hostel mess food is okay, not too good.
Faculty: Teachers are not good here. Some of the teachers have complete knowledge of their subjects and they dictate and teach using phones in the classroom. The curriculum activity is good. They support students in activities and sports. The exams are tough. Around 50-60% of students pass in semester exams. The college conducts sessional exams, which is also good for revision and practicing questions.
Other: There is NCC in this college, which you can choose as a curricular activity that can help in your future career. The fests are not good here. We wish that they may get improved. There's not much crowd here, and there's not much connectivity with other departments. Average students receive scholarships.

B.Sc. in Mathematics - Batch of 2025

My college is a blessing in disguise.
Placements: In my stream, above 60% of students were placed in my course. The top recruitment for my course is in SSC. No one got an internship. The top role offered in my course is being a good scholar. Approximately 20 to 30% of the college got placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was a little bit old, like the British era. The college canteen was good. The medical facilities were a little bit slow in progress. Sports and games were also top-notch. We played many games there, like hockey, cricket, and many other sports activities.
Faculty: Most probably, all teachers were professors and had immense knowledge of their subjects. It made students industry-ready. Semester exams were moderate to hard, but not too hard to solve. Overall, teaching faculty was very cooperative and humble.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a professor of mathematics. Faculty and education in the course could do much better. Events like Navratri, New Year parties, and many more crowd-gathering events happened on campus. There were no extracurricular activities.

B.Sc. in Agriculture - Batch of 2027
Offered by City College of Management, City Group of Colleges

Good course with helpful faculty and practical learning opportunities.
Placements: Placements in our course are okay. I think there is still a lot of scope for improvement. Some agriculture-related companies like UPL, Dhanuka Agritech, Coromandel International, and Bayer offer opportunities for students. The starting package is usually around 2.5–4.5 LPA. It depends on company and job profile. Students can get jobs in sales, marketing, fieldwork, agribusiness, and research. Internships are also useful. They give us some practical experience. I feel the college should bring more companies for campus placements. It should also provide better interview training. Better career guidance would also be helpful. Overall, the opportunities are decent for students who work hard.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure for B.Sc. Agriculture. Classrooms and laboratories are suitable for regular classes and practical work, and the library has useful study material. Basic Wi-Fi is also available. Hostel facilities are satisfactory and provide the basic requirements for students. The mess and canteen provide regular food, although the quality and variety can be improved. Sports and other basic facilities are available as well. Facilities are satisfactory. Better laboratory equipment would improve the learning experience. Improved internet connectivity would also be helpful. Better hostel facilities would make the college experience more comfortable.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful and knowledgeable. They guide students whenever needed. B.Sc. Agriculture syllabus covers subjects related to agronomy, horticulture, soil science, & plant pathology. It also covers other important areas of agriculture. Curriculum is useful for both theoretical and practical aspects of agriculture. Semester exams are generally moderate. They can be managed with regular study and revision. I feel that more practical classes would make the course more interesting. More field visits would also be helpful. Industry exposure and career-oriented workshops would be useful for students. The academic experience is satisfactory.
Other: I chose it because I am interested in agriculture. I want to explore different career options in this field. The best thing about the course is that it includes a variety of subjects. It gives students knowledge about different areas of agriculture. The college environment is generally comfortable for students. I feel that more practical exposure should be provided. More field visits and internships would also be helpful. Workshops and placement opportunities should also be increased. More extracurricular activities would be beneficial for students. Career guidance programmes would also be helpful. It is a good course for students who are interested in agriculture. It is also for students who want to build a career in this sector.

MBA in Finance and Control - Batch of 2027
Offered by University of Lucknow, Jankipuram Campus

Reality of University of Lucknow, Jankipuram Campus.
Placements: Currently, I am in the second semester of my course. I had talked to my seniors and other seniors from different courses. They had told me that you should not totally depend upon the university for placement, as the placement records for the MBA in all specialisations are not so good, and only a few companies come to the campus, and the salary they offer is also very low as compared to the market demands and trends. About 20% students are placed. The highest package is around 12 LPA, and the lowest is around 2-3 LPA. The top recruiting company is Infosys.
Infrastructure: Very bad infrastructure, as the hostel facilities are very limited for boys. Old age classrooms, the worst water cooler, always effective in college. The library condition is quite decent in my batch of Finance and Control (MBA). Only 1 student got the hostel, and his rank was around 1924, but he was from the SC category, which is why he got the hostel. No meritocracy was there, but you will say that there is 3 hostel for the MBA girls students. The food quality of the mess is very bad, as recently a video of the mess food in the girls' hostel has gone viral.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they have the knowledge with them. They are very supportive, but not all. They have the relevant skills and knowledge for the teaching professions that they are in. The teaching quality of my MBA course teachers is very good, especially my financial management mam.
Other: My batch is (2025-2027) MBA (Finance and Control). I chose this course because the Finance field, especially the MBA finance, provides me with an edge compared to any other courses, and I have a lot of interest in this field. The best thing is that I am gaining a lot of knowledge and valuable insights. I wish it would go in more depth, and some practical experience is also required, depending on the scenarios. The campus is very big, but it looks like you are living in a town area. If you want to explore Lucknow, you can't do it here.
