The university has not released the official placement report for the year 2023. However, as per placement report 2021, a total of 38 Diploma in Hotel Administration students were placed during UOU placement 2021. Yes,  Uttarakhand Open University offers a two-year course of B.Ed ODL (Open & Disctance Learning). This course can only be pursue after getting any UG or PG degree. Further, aspirants must also be trained in-service teacher in elementary education. The university also offerd B.Ed in Special Education. To get admission to these courses, candidates must appear for an entrance exam conducted by Uttarakhand Open University. Interested candidates are required to fill an online application form along with paying an application fee of INR 1,000. 

UOU offers courses in UG, PG, UG Diploma and Certificate levels for the duration ranging from 6 months to 4 years in full-time, distance and open learning. The University offers admission to various UG level courses on the basis of Class 12 qualification. Whereas, for PG level courses, candidates will be required to secure a valid score in graduation and secure valid entrance scores in accepted entrance exams. 

After the application process, candidates will be selected based on valid merit and entrance qualification scores. Post selection, candidates will receive counselling and for final admission a merit list will be released by the University. For final admission, candidates must pay the fees and confirm a seat.

Uttarakhand Open University (also known as UOU Haldwani) was established in 2005. UOU courses are recognised by Distance Education Council (DEC) and UGC. UOU Haldwani consists of a total of 14 schools in different streams of education. UOU offers its programmes through 240+ Study Centres established at different locations in the state under eight Regional Centres at Dehradun, Roorkee, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Dwarahat, Bageshwar, Haldwani and Pithoragarh.
