VIT-AP University accepts the VITMEE, which is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology annually for admission to M.Tech in various disciplines. The applicants are selected based on exam performance, followed by online VITMEE counselling. The application process for VITMEE registration comprises registration, filling out forms, uploading documents, and fee payment. The VITMEE exam is conducted in an online computer-based mode for two hours. 

Vellore Institute of Technology will prepare a merit list based on the candidate's performance in the VITMEE 2025. Candidates whose name is on the VITMEE merit list will be eligible for the counselling and document verification process. As per the VITMEE counselling process, the seat allotment is done purely based on merit rank. Applicants having valid GATE exam scores will be given preference for admission. 

For VIT-AP University M.Tech admission, candidates can follow the below steps:

1. Candidates must first have a valid qualification, i.e., a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / EEE / ECE from a recognised University/Institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% or first class.
2. Eligible candidates must apply for the VITMEE exam conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology. Further, candidates with a valid GATE score also become eligible.
3. After completing the entrance exam, candidates who have passed the exam become eligible to participate in the VITMEE counselling process. The seat allotment is done purely based on the merit rank of the exams.
4. Now candidates are allotted seats and admission allotment letters will be provided. Candidates now just have to pay the VIT-AP M.Tech course fee to accept the seats and hence complete the admission process.

The VIT-AP EAMCET Cutoff 2023 ranged between 1930 and 9255 for different B.Tech courses, among which B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive one. The Last-Round Cutoff rank for CSE closed at 1930. The Cutoff was released for different categories under the AI and the HS Quota. The least competitive course among all was B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with the Cutoff rank of 9255. Therefore, the minimum rank to seek admission in VIT-AP is 9255. 

VIT-AP fees for the two-year M.Tech course range from INR 3.8 Lacs to INR 4.9 lakh. The course fee can be paid in two installments. Further, candidates must also pay an amount of INR 3,000 as a caution deposit fee, which is refundable. Candidates willing to apply for the hostel seat at the university must pay an amount of INR 2.47 lakh. VIT Andhra Pradesh admission is both merit and entrance-based. The university accepts national-level entrance exams such as Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, CLAT, LSAT, etc., and also conducts its in-house exam for admission to various courses - VITEEE, VITREE etc. Interested candidates can apply directly through the official website.

No, offline payment will not be accepted for VITEEE 2026 application fee. Candidates have to use online method i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted by authorities. If the candidates fail to make the payment before the final date, then their application will be rejected and they will not be allowed to participate in the entrance exam.

No. There is no lateral entry admission offered for B.Tech and UG Programmes. Diploma holders (10+3) are eligible for B.Sc.

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is mandatory for admission to the B.Tech. Programme in Vellore Institute of Technology-AP (VIT-AP). Higher Secondary Board, JEE Main, or SAT scores will not be considered for admission to the B.Tech. Degree Programme. However, for some other courses, there is no entrance examination, and candidates are selected based on their academic performance.

VIT-AP University does offer admission based on merit to a few courses. The university considers qualifying exam scores for admission to BBA, BCom, Dual degree courses. Aspirants applying for these programmes need to pass a personal interview round for selection.

Candidates are selected for BCom at VIT Andhra Pradesh based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.  After completion of the selection rounds, the institute releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates.
