VIT-AP University MSc Courses & Fees 2026: Admission (Open), Application & Selection Process

The specialisations offered under the MSc course at VIT-AP University are Data Science, Chemistry, and Physics. The course are offered in a full-time mode lasting for two yers. Admission to the MSc course is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam. Further, candidates are shortlisted for the MSc based on the personal statement of purpose (SOP) for about 500 words describing why the applicant desires this data Science degree and the online personal interview.

MSc Eligibility Criteria: BSc degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or Applied Science from any recognised university with Physics, Mathematics, Botany, or Zoology as ancillary subjects with 60% aggregate.

MSc + BSc Eligibility Crietria: Minimum of 55% aggregate at Class/ Intermediate / CBSE / ICSE / HSC / or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.

No entrance exam is required for the MSc course at VIT-AP University. Candidates are shortlisted based on the SOP and the online personla interview conducted by the university.  VIT-AP fees for the two-year MSc course range from INR 1.2 Lacs to INR 1.6 lakh. The course fee can be paid in two installments. Further, candidates must also pay an amount of INR 3,000 as a caution deposit fee, which is refundable. Candidates willing to apply for the hostel seat at the university must pay an amount of INR 2.47 lakh. The VIT AP highest package offered so far during the 2026 placement drive stood at INR 96.26 LPA. Earlier it was INR 1 Crore per annum for 2025 batch.

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is mandatory for admission to the B.Tech. Programme in Vellore Institute of Technology-AP (VIT-AP). Higher Secondary Board, JEE Main, or SAT scores will not be considered for admission to the B.Tech. Degree Programme. However, for some other courses, there is no entrance examination, and candidates are selected based on their academic performance.

Yes, VIT Andhra Pradesh University does offer BSc as an dual degree programme with MSc. The dual degree programme lasts for five years and is offered in a full-time mode. The UG+PG level course is spreas across ten semesters that combines core subjects with a major. The BSc-MSc dual degree comes with an exit option which allows students to earn different degrees provided they fulfill the credit requirements. After three years of successful completion of this programme, BSc in degree in Data Science will be awarded and MSc degree in Data Science will be awarded after successful completion of another 2 years.

• Go to 'New Applicant' and register with the required information.
• Verify the registered email ID and mobile number for the password from VIT.
• FIll in the application form.
• Pay the application fee via any specified mode of transaction and upload the necessary documents, including photographs, signatures, etc.
• Submit the application form.

The authorities will prepare the VITEEE merit list by checking the candidate's performance in the entrance exam. Through the total marks secured in the examination, the authorities will create the merit list to allot ranks during the admission process. Since the admissions will be done based on rank, it is very essential for the authorities to correctly rank the candidates as per their performance in the examination. The obtained ranks in the entrance examination will be released through the VIT result.

The Vellore Institute of Technology mentions the VITMEE eligibility criteria in the information brochure. The VITMEE eligibility is different for each course/discipline. Candidates willing to apply for the VITMEE exam 2026 must go through the criteria carefully. However, apart from the educational qualifications, here are some other eligibility that applicant must satisfy before filling the form.

• Must have an Indian nationality and must have graduated from institutions located in India with a minimum qualifying percentage of 60%.
• Foreign or NRI/POI candidates must apply separately. 
• Final year students can also apply for the exam. 
• Must have acquired a minimum of 60% in their class 12th and diploma exams.
