Healthy and happily growing university.
Placements: In our course, almost 80% of the students get placement offers. The highest package is 20 lacs per annum, average package is 10 lakh per annum and lowest package is 400000 per annum. Amul, Metro Dairy, Mother Dairy, Red Cow, Arun Dairy, ITC, Kwality Walls, Bhagirathi Cooperative, Mimul Cooperative, etc. cooperatives and companies give students the chance of internships and if their performance in an internship is good, then they are recruited by the companies. The roles offered in our course by the company depends upon the performance during the interview of the company and internship in the company.
Infrastructure: We have lucrative facilities and infrastructure available for our course and department. We have Wi-Fi, laboratory, classroom and library facilities. In the laboratory, we can use equipment and machines for improving or practical knowledge. From the library, we can issue books, magazines and research papers according to our needs and keep them for 2 to 3 months interchangeably. The quality of the hostel rooms and the food available in the maze and canteen are very good. The medical facility is available in the hostel and on our campus for sports and games; separate common rooms and games rooms and a gym are available; and a university ground is also provided. In the mess, a special arrangement of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and meals is being arranged by the mess members.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and they are very qualified and quite knowledgeable. Some of them have very appreciable names throughout India. Whenever we face any problem, we are always allowed to go to our respected teacher's room and they are always available to solve our academic and personal problems. Yes, this course in the curriculum is relevant and it makes a student industry-ready by giving hands-on experience of how industry works and our future workings.
Other: Dairy technology is a course that has ample amount of career and future growth. The course is designed in a way that encompasses the scientific and technological aspects of science, biology, food and living things. The biology-loving students can feel connected in this course. So I chose this course. More practical aspects and knowledge can be given through the 5th deans committee report. Sometimes out-of-syllabus questions are asked in an external exam that can be improved. A ample number of events, fests, camps, and extracurricular activities are organized in our university by our students, including seniors and juniors, with the proper guidance of our respected teachers and faculty members and our seniors. Vishwakarma puja, Saraswati puja celebration, Teachers Day celebration, children's day celebration, NSS special campus, convocation ceremony, freshmen party, Independence Day celebration, Republic Day celebration, reunion, NSS day celebration and Vigyan and scientific melas are organized.

Satisfied with college environment.
Placements: Every Year passouts either get government job if WBPSC has released vacancies for VO or they get into companies, start veterinary clinics, or apply to a vet clinic for job. Many of the students after graduation opt for post graduate and further do Ph.D. and establish themselves as professors or scientist in reputed institutions. Companies Like Amul, Venky group, Suguna foods, livestock feed companies, Drools, pharma companies like Himalayan, Mankind and many others hatcheries, poultry farms, Dairy farms hire veterinarians with BVSC and AH course or MVSC (Masters in Veterinary Science). -Veterinary officer or block veterinary officer is a Group A gazetted post one can apply for in the government during vacancies by WBPSC. -the highest package: 25+ LPA to the lowest package 4.8 LPA and if you own clinic in metro cities it can increase 8-9 fold depending on your performance. Placement is cell is not present but students can contact companies as they are introduce to them in their intern year. -100 percent students get internships and they goes to hatcheries poultry farms, zoo, another State Universities for some weeks, veterinary hospital, Haringhata farms, breeding station, NDRI and many more.
Infrastructure: 20 department are present throughout the BVSC and AH course all are well-equipped with outstanding Professors and technician assisting them. Classrooms are well furnished with smartboards and blackboards with air conditioned. Several buildings for different departments and years present. Wi-Fi present with good stability. Labs are heavily Equipped with instruments and every requirements. Central Library funded by ICAR with huge collection of books of foreign and Indian authors are very resourceful for students. For more information computers with internet also present. Wine, cattle farms with attached Mohanpur Veterinary Hospital present for treatment of animals and studying of students both. There are two Hostels :Sir SN BOSE HALL for 1st years students boys and APC ROY Hostel for 2nd to final year boys. For girls all year KADIMBINI hostel is present. Hostels with good furnitures, washrooms, playground and with above average food quality and relatively affordable. Each hostel has its own canteen for snacks. Mess bill is minimal hostel living feels taken at the beginning of session with other feels if student is a hosteller. Medical officer and medical facilities are always there on the campus. Events like football tournaments, cricket tournaments, inter hostel matches etc. And throughout the year there are several festival celebrations in the campus.
Faculty: -Professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable and with great interaction making even tougher topics digestable for any students. -The curriculum is relevant but still students need exposure of outer world or industries to make themselves more proficient as a veterinary doctor. -If one is interested and studying in a planned manner and is up to date then things can go quite smoothly. BVSC and AH has a vast syllabus with knowledge about different animals and details to gain so one has to study sincerely. Practical are important. 3 internals (must pass in atleast two of them) with year end external and viva and practical.
Other: BVSC and AH is a highly respectable course. The diversity of the course fascinates me as everything you learn is new and interesting as you get to know more about animals, diseases, curve, management etc. The best thing is veterinary field is quite unsaturated still and a fast growing field and there are so many options to choose in the future. People are getting more pets day by day. Government and people are becoming far more careful about health of animals and all drugs are tested on animals before human which increase demand of a veterinarian. I would like people at the rural and suburban level to become more aware of this professions as there is confusion between quacks and veterinarians. Both are different. It is illegal and unethical to tears a suffering a animal without knowing the proper measure and treatment. Among student and guardians there should not be a comparison among BVSC and AH and MBBS as both are treatment of different species. Both are challenging and respectable in their own fields. Bengal Veterinary College is 125 years old and has a high reputation. Many types of university, caste and government scholarships are available. Campus is the most attractive and beautiful part as you will SEE in the photos uploaded. It is a huge and beautiful green campus with even a .

Best course for animal lovers.
Placements: As it is a professional course where you'll be a doctor, you'll not be unemployed. There are multiple job opportunities available like government job, private jobs, research, being a professor, practicing, etc. The majority of the students target government jobs as it is safe and secure where you'll be recruited as a veterinary officer. For private jobs, most prefer Amul, Red Cow, Shalimar and many more pharmaceutical companies. The last year of the course is a mandatory internship, where you'll get a government stipend of Rs 20,000.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good. Very clean and ambient environment. Projectors and other modern facilities are available. Laboratories are also there in every department. Maximun equipment is available. Regular practical classes were also conducted. A library facility is available inside the campus. Students can study there and blend books. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. The girls hostel rooms are very good. Sufficient light and fans are there. Rooms are quite big and clean, too. The food is above average in the mess.
Faculty: Very qualified and educated teachers are there in every department. They are very helpful to the students. The quality of the teachers is very good. Regular theory and practical classes occur. Exams are also being conducted regularly. Three internal and one final exam happen in one year. The course curriculum is relevant but some subjects are not as relevant as I thought. Exams are neither very difficult nor very easy. Regular study is necessary.
Other: I like the animal world and want to know more about it, so I chose this course. The best thing about this course is the animals. You'll learn about so many animals, their habits, diseases, treatments, etc. It's so beautiful to know these things. Being a doctor of animals, it's a very proud thing. Although I want some modifications to the course, like some education on topics that are not relevant to me,. The campus is very good. There is not much crowding on campus. The transport facility is very good. The market is very near the campus.
