The JENPAS UG 2024 application process was started on March 22, 2024. The JENPAS UG 2024 exam will be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The JENPAS UG 2024 exam schedule was released by the WBJEEB on the official website. 

The entire admission process from registration to counselling will be organised and managed by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The JENPAS UG application forms are available at the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in/jenpas-ug/. After the JENPAS UG 2024 registration process concludes on April 22, 2024, WBJEEB will open a window to edit/modify the application form. The authorities will release the JENPAS UG correction window between April 24 to 26, 2024

Only those candidates who successfully fill the form, will be issued a JENPAS UG admit card/hall ticket in online mode on June 20, 2024. The JENPAS UG admit card is a mandatory document that will be required at the test centre for verification. According to JENPAS UG important dates, the exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based mode) at the designated test centres in India on June 30, 2024, in two shifts.

After the exam concludes, WBJEEB will declare the JENPAS UG 2024 result in the form of a merit list. JENPAS UG 2024 scorecard will also be made available at the online application portal. The result date has not been announced yet. 

The final step of the selection process will be the JENPAS UG 2024 counselling process. There will be two or three rounds of counselling. Candidates whose names appear in the JENPAS UG 2024 merit list will be called for counselling. It is a mandatory step to participate in the JENPAS UG 2024 counselling process to seek admission to the nursing and allied colleges of West Bengal.

Q:   Why to appear for JENPAS UG exam?

A:

JENPAS UG exam is a gateway for admission to Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Sciences Under Graduate Courses in the state of West Bengal. The exam is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) every year followed by the counselling process. It is a state-level exam through which candidates can apply to  BSc-Nursing, BPT, BMLT, BSc-CCT, BSc-OTT, BSc-PT, BSc-PA, B.Sc. MMB, B.V.S.O, BHA courses. 

 

Q:   Is JENPAS UG an easy or difficult entrance exam?

A:

JENPAS UG is an offline (Pen & Paper Mode) entrance exam conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). As per the exam analysis conducted for the previous year exams, it is a moderately difficult exam. A good preparation strategy will help candidates appear for the exam without much difficulty. JENPAS UG is conducted for the duration of 1.5 hours each for 2 papers (each carries 50 questions). Candidates need to answer Multiple Choice Questions and the medium of the exam is both in English and Bengali language. 

 

Q:   Is JENPAS UG an online exam or offline exam?

A:

JENPAS UG is on offline exam which is provided in Multiple Choice Questions (Objective-type) in which four options are provided in each question. The question paper is provided in both English and Bengali language. Candidates are given 90 minutes to solve the paper. Each candidate gets 2 marks correct answer and for each wrong answer 0.5 marks will be deducted. 

 

Q:   When will JENPAS UG 2024 application form be out?

A:

The application form of JENPAS UG 2024 was released on March 22, 2024. The students can register for JENPAS UG exam in online mode only.  The last date to register for the exam is April 22, 2024

Applicants who fill the form and make any mistake while filling the application form will be able to make correction in the JENPAS online form between April 24 to 26, 2024.

Before filling out the online application form, candidates must ensure that they meet the WBJEE JENPAS UG eligibility criteria 2024. The following are some points about the JENPAS UG qualifying criteria:
Nationality: Candidates must possess Indian nationality.
Age Limit: The candidate's age must be 17 years or more and upper age limit should vary from course to course as:

  • For BSc Nursing and BPT: No upper age
  • For BASLP: Not more than 25 years as of 31 December 2024.
  • For BMLT: Not more than 40 Years as of 31 December 2024.

JENPAS 2024 Application Form

The application form for JENPAS UG 2024  is available at the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in from March 22, 2024, as per the schedule to be shared by the exam conducting body. It is mandatory to register for the UG entrance exam by providing information in the online JENPAS UG application form such as name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, and gender, after which a login ID will be generated. Using the WBJEE JENPAS UG login credentials, candidates will fill in personal information, and educational qualification information, and submit pictures as specified. Candidates will have to pay the appropriate application fee and submit the form upon completion of the application procedure. At the time of WBJEE JENPAUH 2024 registration, it is mandatory to submit a legitimate contact number and email address.

To submit the form, candidates had to pay the following amount of application fee last year as mentioned below:

Q:   How many questions are asked in JENPAS UG Exam?

A:

JENPAS UG entrance exam comprise of 2 papers of 50 questions each. It carries a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions. As far as the marking scheme is concerned, for every correct answer, candidates will get 2 marks and for each wrong answer 0.5 marks will be deducted. Candidates will be provided 90 minutes to solve the entire question paper. 

 

JENPAS UG 2024 Syllabus

Candidates appearing for the nursing and paramedical entrance exam can refer to the contents of the JENPAS UG syllabus 2024 provided below. There will be two papers scheduled on the exam day. Candidates can take note of the important topics to expect in each paper:  

a) Paper-I (for all courses other than BHA) will be based on 11th and 12th standard syllabi and curriculum of the recognized Board/Councils in India (detailed see list at the website).
b) Paper-II (for BHA) The content of Physical Science and Mathematics will be based on the 10th standard syllabi of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and other equivalent and recognized Boards/Councils in India and the content of General Knowledge, Basic English, and Logical reasoning will be equivalent to 12th standard curriculum.

JENPAS 2024 Admit Card

The JENPAS UG 2024 admit card will be issued online by the exam conducting body on June 20, 2024. An application number and password/date of birth would be required to login on the official website i.e.wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates will have to download and print their JENPAS UG hall ticket. The printed hard copy of the JENPAS 2024 admit card would be required at the centre along with a valid picture id proof. The admit card/hall ticket for JENPAS 2024 comprises the candidate's name, roll number, picture, signature, examination date, time, and test centre. JENPAS 2024 admit card will be released around 10 days before the exam day.

JENPAS UG 2024 Results

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will declare/announce the JENPAS result 2024 via an online method. The JENPAS 2024 result will be published at wbjeeb.nic.in, in the form of the JENPAS UG 2024 rank card. It would be mandatory to download the WBJEE JENPAS UG result 2024 by logging in as a candidate. Details such as application number, password, and date of birth are pre-requisite to download the JENPAS UG scorecard. Then click on the 'Submit' option, and the JENPAS UG 2024 result will appear on the screen. JENPAS 2024 result date has not been announced yet by the exam conducting body. 

JENPAS UG 2024 Counselling

JENPAS 2024 Counseling process will be conducted by the WBJEEB for eligible candidates for admission to the UG-level programmes. JENPAS UG counselling will be done in different rounds based on the number of available seats following each round of counselling. The seats will be distributed according to the candidates' positions on the merit list. Before counselling and seat distribution, the board announces on its website the availability of seats per course and institute. Numerous universities undertake their own admissions counselling. A total of 3 rounds of JENPAS UG counselling will be held including the mop-up round for JENPAS UG 2023 seat allotment. Online registration is mandatory to participate in the JENPAS UG 2024 counselling process.

JENPAS 2024 Counselling Process

JENPAS 2024 counselling process involves several steps which are mentioned below:

  • Online Registration: Candidates must first register for the counselling rounds online. The website display a registration link. Navigate to the URL and enter your roll number, password, and security pin to log in.
  • Payment of Registration Fee: When enrolling for the counselling procedure, candidates must pay a registration fee. The application fee to participate in the JENPAS UG counselling is INR 500/-. Candidates can pay the cost using a debit/credit card or through net banking.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: Following registration and fee payment, applicants must select a course and college online. Candidates may also pick more than one course or college. It is important to prioritise the selections by placing their most desired choice at the top and their least preferred alternatives below. Thereafter, lock the selections after making a final decision. After you've locked the selections, you won't be able to modify them.
  • Rounds of Counselling: Candidates for round I of counselling will be summoned in the order of merit. Following round-1, applicants who did not get seats, whose allocation was revoked, or who opted for an upgrade are eligible to compete in round 2. Candidates who did not participate in previous rounds or whose seats were cancelled previously will be assigned seats in round 3.
  • Seat Allotment: Candidates can check their seat allocation online via the website. Following the JENPAS UG counselling rounds, seats would be assigned at various institutions temporarily. Seat Allotment is done based on the inputs provided by the candidate. If at any stage it is found on scrutiny by any concerned authority that the applicant is not eligible for the allotment, his/her allotment/ admission shall be treated as cancelled.

Q:   What documents are required to participate in JENPAS UG counselling?

A:

Document verification is done at the time of admission in JENPAS UG counselling. Candidates must present the following documents: Provisional Seat Allotment Letter, JENPAS UG Rank card, Class 10th admit card/birth certificate, Class 12th marksheet, an Undertaking from the candidate as per the Proforma.

 

Q:   When will the seat allotment result for JENPAS UG counselling announced?

A:

JENPAS UG counselling seat allotment result will be announced tentatively in September 2024 for the Round-1 counselling. For the round-2 counselling, WBJEEB will release the seat allotment result within September 2024. A third, mop-up round will be conducted for the seats that are vacant. Candidates will be able to download the seat allotment result for the mop-up round as all the updates/results will be published on wbjeeb.nic.in. 

 

JENPAS UG 2024 - Seat Acceptance

Candidates will be able to participate in the JENPAS UG 2024 seat acceptance process after the announcement of the seat allotment result. Follow the process mentioned below:

  1. Candidates are required to log in to check the JENPAS UG 2024 seat allotment status.
  2. The JENPAS UG 2024 seat allotment status shows the institute and course in which he/she has been allotted a seat.
  3. The candidate must pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only), and download the JENPAS UG allotment letter. If the candidate fails to pay the seat acceptance fee, the current allotment will be cancelled, and he/she will not be considered for seat allotment in any future round.
  4. After paying the seat acceptance fee, the candidate must note his/her Unique Allotment ID ( from the candidate’s login), which he/she will need to disclose to the concerned admission officer of the allotted Institute to confirm his/her admission. Candidates are advised not to disclose the JENPAS UG Unique Allotment ID to any other person except the admission officer of the allotted Institute.
  5. After downloading the JENPAS UG 2024 allotment letter, the candidate must report to the allotted institute with the letter and all other necessary documents for verification. If the candidate fails to report for document verification, the current allotment will be cancelled, and he/she will not be considered for seat allotment in any future round (EXIT).

A:

As per the official guidelines, a total of three rounds of counselling will be held including the mop-up round for JENPAS UG 2023 seat allotment. As per the eligibility criteria set by the exam conducting body, any applicant who is 35 years of age (maximum) is eligible to apply for the JENPAS BSc nursing exam. Moreover, female candidates are only eligible to apply for the BSc nursing programme.
