Affect of coronavirus in the studies

The coronavirus situation has affected the studies a little. The schools and colleges have solved this problem by conducting online classes for students. In my college, around 75% of the syllabus was covered by the teacher before the lockdown. The coronavirus may affect those colleges which could not cover the syllabus in their classes. Now, my college is providing the online classes to the students. The college has also published the timetable on their Facebook and Instagram pages. The advantage of online classes is that now the students need not to visit the college daily. They can attend their classes from home.

Timing of online classes

The time of classes depends on the teacher and the duration varies from 30 to 45 minutes. As I told earlier that most of the teachers covered a major part of the syllabus earlier and now they are covering the remaining part.

We can submit the files in pdf format to our teacher for practical subjects. By making projects at home, we are spending our time on learning various things like email, making presentations on Microsoft, or making pdf files, etc. through mobile phones instead of making written files.

Like I submit a pdf file instead of a handwritten file of the seminar attended to the teacher. All the teachers give a date of submission for the assignments to ensure that all the students complete the same within the prescribed time. These files are required to be submitted for practical subjects only, if a course has only theoretical subjects then the students are not required to make any file.

Responsibility of teachers towards students

The college and teachers are working together to ensure all possible help is provided to the students. The teachers guide the students online and ask for any query or doubt in the class as well as on the WhatsApp groups. The students can also call the teacher in case of any query. In the current scenario, the teachers are motivating and giving instructions to their students from time to time. The teachers whose syllabus is not yet completed are encouraging the students to clarify their doubts as and when required. Some of the teachers are even ready to repeat a specific chapter in case it is not clear to any student. The gate of the colleges might be closed nowadays but, the learning continues.
