Hello! My name is R.V.N.L. Manogna, and I am an MBA student specializing in Business Analytics at ABBS. Additionally, I am pursuing a Cost and Management Accountant course. My academic journey began with a B.Com (Hons) degree from AMM Degree College in Andhra Pradesh. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, and perfecting my skills in badminton. I am passionate about Finance and HR, and I aspire to make a meaningful impact in these fields.

Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose an MBA at Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS)?

Choosing my course of study in school during classes XI and XII was a pivotal decision that set the foundation for my academic journey. I opted for the MEC (Mathematics, Economics, and Commerce) stream with a clear objective in mind – to pursue professional courses like Chartered Accountancy (CA) and Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA). My decision to select the MEC stream was based on extensive research and careful consideration of my career goals. I recognized that a strong foundation in subjects like Mathematics, Economics, and Commerce would be instrumental in my pursuit of a career in finance and accounting. These subjects not only provided the requisite knowledge but also developed critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, which are essential in the financial world.

The MEC stream provided me with a comprehensive understanding of financial concepts, economic principles, and commercial practices, laying the groundwork for my eventual enrollment in the CMA course, which I am currently pursuing alongside my MBA in Business Analytics. When it came to choosing my current college and post-graduate course at ABBS (Acharya Bangalore B-School), I considered several factors. ABBS stood out for its reputation, particularly in the field of Business Analytics, which aligned perfectly with my academic and career interests. The college's emphasis on practical learning, guest lectures, and its commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation further convinced me that it was the right choice for my post-graduate studies.

Q2. How did you crack admission in Acharya Bangalore Business School? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for ABBS?

Securing admission at ABBS (Acharya Bangalore B-School) required flexibility, research, and determination. Initially, I had planned to pursue my MBA in Hyderabad and appeared for the TSICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test). However, life had other plans, and I needed to explore options in Bangalore.

After researching various management colleges in Bangalore, I discovered ABBS, which align perfectly with my career goals. The college's reputation for its Business Analytics program and the quality of education it offered made it my top choice. ABBS is good place to study management courses, because they teach the subjects with a practical approach as per the industrial requirements, making it easier for the students to secure placements. They conduct a lot of workshops & guest lectures by IIM professors & other people from the industry on various topics. ABBS Management allows organizing events in college frequently to make it fun and this helps to gain experience in organizing events which indirectly helps in taking responsibility.

In conclusion, securing admission at ABBS was a journey that required adaptability, diligence, and determination. I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my MBA at such a reputable institution, and I am confident that it will provide me with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve my career goals.

My time at ABBS has been nothing short of transformative. It's a place where theory meets practice, and the college environment is designed to provide holistic growth. The faculty at ABBS has a knack for making complex concepts comprehensible, which makes attending classes a rewarding experience.

Beyond the classroom, I actively participate in extracurricular activities that the college offers. One of the highlights of my college journey has been my involvement in the core committee of Biz-O-Mania 2023, an inter-college management fest. This role has allowed me to develop leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills while also networking with peers from other institutions. ABBS also fosters a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. I am a proud member of the Institution Innovation Council and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell. These platforms empower students to explore their entrepreneurial potential, providing workshops, mentorship, and resources to turn ideas into reality.

What sets ABBS apart is its strategic collaborations with recognized organizations, including NHRWA (National Human Rights and Women's Association) - ABBS Students’ Chapter, IP Cell with KSCST (Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology), and ABBS - ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) Chapter. These partnerships offer students invaluable hands-on experiences, research opportunities, and a chance to contribute to meaningful projects. I've not only gained academic knowledge but also developed essential soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
