DU Admissions 2021: Over 3.18 candidates register for Delhi University UG Courses on DU admission portal

The DU Admission 2021 registration process for Undergraduate programmes started on August 2 and will end on August 31. 

DU Admissions 2021: Delhi University's admission portal has received over 3.18 lakh applications for undergraduate courses, as per the data shared by the university. The DU Admission 2021 registration process for Undergraduate programmes started on August 2 and will end on August 31. 

As per the data released by the varsity, 3,18,158 aspirants have registered on the DU UG admission portal till now, of whom 1,47,435 have completed the payment. The maximum number of applications have been received by students from CBSE Board (1,21,796), followed by ISC Board (4,817), HBSE Board (4,723), Uttar Pradesh Board(2,984). The lowest number of applications have been received from Himachal Pradesh Board (335). 

Among those who have made the payment, the number of male applicants is 65,507 and female applicants 82,155. The Delhi University has received the highest number of applicants are from Delhi-NCR at 20,398 while the lowest number is from Cuttack and Shillong at 10 each.

Under the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) Category, the University has received 8,333 applications and 5,187 under the sports category so far. It must be noted that like last year, the admissions to ECA and Sports category will be done on the basis of a certificate. Owing to the COVID-19 situation, Delhi University will not be conducting any physical trials.

According to the data, 1,37,084 applicants have started the registration process for postgraduate courses. Nearly 73,917 completed forms have been submitted, while 20,590 forms are incomplete. The DU PG application form 2021 was released on July 26 and the last to fill the applications for PG programmes is on or before August 21. 

Delhi University also conducted its virtual 'open days' from August 4 to 7 to make aspirants familiar with the DU admission process 2021. The DU first cut-off 2021 is likely to be released on October 1.
