Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose BA at Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS)?
Since my childhood, my dream has been to become a civil servant. To achieve this goal, I need to clear the UPSC, which is the top-level examination in our country. I extensively researched the examination, its syllabus, preparation strategies, and even studied interviews of many toppers. After thorough consideration, I concluded that arts is the best subject that allows me to parallelly prepare for UPSC alongside my studies. The core pillars of the UPSC syllabus include History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science. I began my preparation during intermediate, choosing arts as my group with subjects like History, Economics, and Civics (HEC). I achieved the 5th rank in Telangana at the state level. Continuing with my commitment, I opted for arts in my graduation as well, aligning with my future plan to pursue a career in civil services
Q2. How did you crack admission in Acharya Bangalore Business School? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for ABBS?
One fine day, I received a call from the admission department of Acharya Bangalore B-school, offering me a seat. I did not take any entrance test for admission to this college. Upon researching, I found that the college had good ratings, but it is primarily known for BBA and MBA, not for BA. I did not encounter any challenges during the selection of this college. The admission process, including payments, was conducted online
Q3. How do you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in the future?
I will attend all my classes on time. After having lunch, every day I will go to the college library where I can feel peaceful as if no one is there. I will spend at least 2-4 hours in the library every day. As a first-year student, I don't know much about the extracurricular activities and how to enroll in them. But I will participate because I have a keen interest in extracurricular activities. If given a chance, I will dance, as I love to dance. I have hardly spent three months in college, and I haven't experienced a lot yet. Once I finish my first year, I can come to know more about this.
Yes, MBA is available at ABBS under School of Management. This course is offered in affiliation with Bangalore University for a duration of two years.
