I Chose RIT Roorkee for Its Practical Learning, Affordable Education, and Proximity to Home,

I am a final-year B.Tech Computer Science student with a passion for technology and innovation. Alongside my studies, I enjoy playing basketball, which keeps me active and focused. I have a keen interest in digital marketing and content creation, and I love exploring the world of stand-up comedy, where I find joy in sharing laughs and connecting with others through humor.

Q1.How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose B.Tech CSE at RIT Roorkee?

My love of technology and problem-solving played a big role in my decision to choose my line of study in my XI–XII years. Computers and their potential to produce creative solutions have always captivated me. I looked at a lot of other fields because of this passion, but computer science caught my attention because of its dynamic nature and wide range of employment options. My decision to pursue engineering was further reinforced by my enjoyment of topics like physics and maths.

When it came to selecting a college, RIT Roorkee was the greatest choice for several reasons. First off, the college is well-known for its B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), which offers a program that blends academic understanding with real-world applications. My professional goals are nicely aligned with the internships' emphasis on practical learning and industry exposure. Furthermore, the encouraging teachers and lively campus life of RIT Roorkee provided a helpful environment for both academic and personal development.

Another important consideration was the program's cost in relation to other universities. I liked that RIT Roorkee makes high-quality education affordable by providing scholarships based on academic achievement. My decision was also influenced by the college's close proximity to home, which helped me balance my studies with my family's support. All things considered, I am looking forward to my time at RIT Roorkee, where I can hone my abilities and get ready for a prosperous career in technology.

Q2. How you cracked admission at RIT Roorkee? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for this college?

My ambitious journey of cracking admission into RIT Roorkee wage on by my strong will power and love for technology. Mainly I focused on the internal technical assessment for entrance tests and that is where was able to portray about my computer science reasoning. While most of my friends joined coaching classes, I preferred to self-study with online help.

RIT Roorkee, yes that was my first preference but even CU I did not left for anything You see, even though it was tough decision because I liked other colleges a lot but the reputation of RIT as an engineering college and another is B. Tech in Computer Scinece Engineering (CSE) attracted me towards it for many reasons since I always wanted to study till now about how computer works just like anything animal behave would attract TBH. The main reason was could provide the experience of industrial exposure and core related to new technologies this is what I focus in my career so that way it attracted me a lot.

Thankfully, the only difficulty I faced was getting into college. Admission application process was like a cake walk and the community @ RIT were helpful at the same time. The focus on merit-based admissions meant that the college was affordable for students like myself who just really wanted to learn and develop personally.

Well, a sign of my successful admission to RIT Roorkee has been the complete experience and I am eagerly looking forward to what is yet more in store! I have implemented into the right place because of perfect infrastructure, ever going campus and platform to improve my skills in this favourable environment which has reassured me that doing B.Tech CSE from this prestigious college was worth it.

Q3. How you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in future?

With its exciting extracurricular activities and scholarly endeavours, college has been a life-changing experience for me. Attending my seminars on database management systems (DBMS) and data mining is something I especially like. In addition to providing me with academic challenges, these courses have given me the practical skills I will need for my future in technology. My comprehension of difficult ideas and their practical applications has increased as a result of these classes' practical projects and group assignments.

I participate extensively in extracurricular activities outside of school, especially as a member of the Unnati and Urja clubs. These groups offer a forum for working on initiatives that improve our community by encouraging creativity and social responsibility. I've been able to work with peers who share my passion for making an impact and hone my leadership abilities by taking part in these clubs. Other than participating in club events, I like to play basketball. A great way to bond with your buddies and chill after a day of classes. The game is just too contagious and it keeps me focused, motivated & teaches me about collaboration on/off the court. That is, I would want the library hours to be expanded if given an opportunity. More students who, like me, need unlimited hours to use a quiet space for studying or working on projects late into the night could be great beneficiaries.

My college experience has allowed me to grow so much as a person. The change I've had in myself is a new better, stronger work ethic and high self-confidence along with the work context of theirs converted me to realize how crucial team work can be. The quirkiness has lead me to be more open minded in the diverse environment of college, and I have learned that other cultures and viewpoints can also play an important part.

I am sure that Information technology's potential is expanding minute by minute, especially Data Science and Artificial intelligence. My sound understanding of topics in these fields post my learning experience at RIT Roorkee prepares me for the challenges and intrinsically contributes to technological growth as well. On the whole, my college years guided me both — academically as well have provided a headstart to career.

Q4. What do you plan in future?

With an emphasis on using data analytics to propel creative ideas, I intend to work in data science in the future. As I look for chances for additional education and career advancement in the tech sector, I hope to consistently improve my abilities and contribute to worthwhile projects.
