JIMS Kalkaji Collaborates with Grant Thornton; Driving Innovation and Inspiring Young Minds

Management is interdisciplinary. It is a complex stream with different specializations such as that of HR, Marketing and Finance. Given the recent dynamics of the business world where Covid and other domains had been hit hard exploration of different specializations such as Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship has also been initiated for the students.

As the education system prepares students for their future careers in the corporate world by preparing them to understand the needs of the industry, similarly the industry looks forward to academia to give them the requisite talent to solve their problems. This can only happen if industry and academia integrate.

Keeping the above in mind for the very first time in the country a leading management institution with glorious accomplishments of 25 years has collaborated with a leading Consulting firm, the Big 5, Grant Thornton Bharat to launch a truly Industry Integrated Two Years Full Time PGDM Programme approved by AICTE equivalent to MBA degree by AIU.  This collaboration would have 360-degree involvement of Grant Thornton from a selection of the students to the development of the students during the tenure of their programme and finally with the recruitment of the students.

We would like to announce that GTB as it plans to double its workforce and appreciate the demographics of our country has announced assured placements to the Top 50% of the batch at an annual package of INR 11.5 LPA and those students who had worked previously but unfortunately have been laid off due to Covid or other reasons thereof holding minimum experience of three years will be eligible for the package of INR 15 LPA.

This is an opportunity extended to only those students who have been willing to achieve a career for themselves but secure happiness for their families as well. Thus, keeping the new-age corporate demands in mind we have continued to retain our labs of Finance and IT. Students learn to operate various software such as Capitalline, SPSS, invest in the stock market, etc. Making the right decisions is essential for any manager and thus these statistical and analytical tools if deployed and interpreted right can help generate similar results. In addition to the technical and hard skills, the requirement of communication and soft skills cannot be undermined in the world of today which is characterized by sensitivity and multiculturalism. Thus, our labs are designed in a way to enhance the overall personalities of our students. We visualize seeing them as high-performing achievers who can lead and create social impact with excellence.

The collaborative PGDM program has the following USPs:

• The curriculum would be jointly designed by JIMS Kalkaji - Jagannath International Management School and Grant Thornton with equal emphasis on concepts and hand on practical applications.
• The delivery of curriculum would be also jointly delivered by JIMS faculty and senior experts from Grant Thornton (300 hours of practical teaching by Grant Thornton experts).
• 1:1 mentoring from Grant Thornton experts and also an internship opportunity with Grant Thornton.
• Assured placement to the top 50% of the students with Grant Thornton with an annual package of INR 11.5 LPA and students with at least 3 years of work experience are eligible for an annual package of INR 15 LPA.
• Summer Internship opportunities will also be made available to the students who maintain excellent academic rigour
• Opportunities to learn from different pockets of the globe are essential for the students to be confident to operate in different international fields. This is our special focus to enhance the skillset of our students to a global level.
