Securing 3rd rank in the entire university I successfully graduated and later on took a year gap. Then I joined coaching classes and prepared for the MBA examinations (CAT, NMAT, IIFT, SNAP and XAT). After a lot of hard work and dedication, I scored a decent percentile in all the examinations. I got calls from a few institutes, appeared for the interviews, and even got selected. Now it had all come down to the decision of choosing the best among those institutes.

To begin with, I was a PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) student during my Senior Secondary, and to a matter of surprise, my favourite subjects were Mathematics and Biology. I was in a dilemma between opting for engineering or the medical line. I wanted to become an engineer but the faculty for the same in my school were not so good, whereas I never wanted to become a doctor but I was really good at Biology. After a lot of thinking and career counselling by professionals, I found my interest in management studies. The subjects were interesting and I loved everything about being an MBA professional.

After my board examinations, I started doing a lot of research about management courses. Then I set my goal for doing MBA from one of the finest institutes in India. As a first step towards fulfilling my goal, I pursued my bachelor’s degree in BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) from Alliance University, Bangalore.

Lexicon Management Institute of Leadership and Excellence stood out of all those institutes. Here are some of the reasons why it is better than others:

1. Nine-Month Internship- The USP of this institute is its Nine-month internship tenure with a stipend. This period is also considered as a hands-on-job training period. This ensures great corporate exposure and gives you a chance to get PPOs (pre-placement offer) during your internship. If not, there’s also a record of 100 per cent placement in the college.

2. Dual Specialisation- The institute also provides a dual specialisation course. You can select any two specialisations from a list of options, and the best thing about this is there won't be one major and one minor- both your specialisations will be considered as major.

3. Over 15 Certifications- Nowadays the value of having expertise is marked by certifications. Lexicon MILE brings up a dynamic curriculum that not only provides academic excellence but also makes us ready for the world of corporate. Being an AICTE affiliated college, Lexicon MILE provides you with almost 15 certifications along with the PGDM course.

4. Strong Corporate Connect- At the time of placements, there are a number of companies that visit the campus for placements. Some of the companies that visit the campus are TIAA, eClerx, Times Group, Oyo, Treebo, Fab Hotels, CBRE, KANTAR IMRB , FOYR, Godrej Properties, ZS Associates, Machintel, Slintel, Knight Frank, American Express, ICICI Bank, Orient Technologies, IDBI Bank and Kotak Mahindra.

5. Wholistic Development of the students- With a lot of student-driven bodies in the institute, Lexicon not only focuses on making a student academically strong but also focuses on their 360-degree development. The culture and the environment that this college provides is so positive. Their energy and enthusiasm bring up the best in every individual who is part of this college, be it a student or a faculty. It is not an institute; it is one big family!

Being a part of Lexicon has given me various opportunities as well as experiences. The exciting induction at Goa, learning experience during the internship, being part of the Media and Marketing Committee all these aspects contribute to a better future and nurturing me into a better person. During this pandemic, they ensured our safety and gave us hope for a better tomorrow.

After completing my post-graduation, I aspire to work in a top MNC in a good position and I am very sure that this learning experience from Lexicon MILE will have a huge contribution in fulfilling my ultimate goal.
