From the time I was in my early teenage years, I was pretty much fascinated by my mom cooking food for all of us with all love and affection and I always used to ask her what and how is she doing with distinct ingredients. Those experiences made me make up my mind towards cooking as a hobby and then a career. I always had a dream to become a chef and nurture people through the food and dining experiences. Right after I completed my senior secondary, I started looking for a good and reputed college of Hotel Management that could groom me and take me a step closer to my dreams. After doing a lot of research work, I decided to go for only those universities that have a well connect with the onboard luxury hotel brands to get a proper and applied learning experience.

Vedatya Institute is one of the renowned colleges to study in for those who really have the zeal of becoming a great ‘Hotelier’. I got to know so many good reviews about this university from a lot of sources online and personal referrals too. When I started researching about Vedatya, I got impressed by just going through the programme details and the future aspects because they have such a good placements track record. To enrol with them, I first filled up their admission form,  following which I received an invitation email from them inviting me for the Group Discussion, Written examination and a Personal Interview round at Radisson Blu, Mahipalpur. The results were declared the same day and after clearing all three rounds I got my confirmation mail.

The day I stepped into the premises of Vedatya, I could feel a sense of professionalism by the way they helped me as a new person. During the orientation week, I got to know that I was in a right place and was also pretty sure that this environment will shape a professional out of me. All the teachers and professors are very well experienced in the Hotel Industry and very welcoming towards providing the best knowledge one could have. With great zeal, we had started to study and now everyone from my batch is professionally groomed and is industry-ready.

With endless gratitude, Vedatya made me a professional and groomed my personality to start my dream job in a luxury hotel brand. I could never remove the name of Vedatya from my life because this place had given me so many things like refined knowledge especially with applied learning and they had also organised fun activities for us in the form of extra-curricular activities. The best part of this place is its professional environment and it will not be wrong to say this thing plays a major role in shaping someone. Vedatya offers a range of sports activities such as volleyball, cricket, football, lawn tennis, badminton, table tennis, etc. also when it comes to studies then has a very well-maintained library as well which covers a wide range of relevant books. The management of the university has planned the courses to develop academic as well as the motor skills of a student. All the module leaders treat us as a family with whom we can share any problem be it professional or personal.

The best part of this place is its professional environment and it will not be wrong to say this thing plays a major role in shaping someone.

With regard to my personal experience, I had worked with some of the top notched luxurious hotel brands like The Oberoi Group, Marriott, Accor, IHG, etc. as a part of applied learning in the form of Internships and training. Vedatya has such a good connection with brands like these so they bring various internship opportunities to students both domestic and abroad. I wanted to intern in Bangalore, and so I was placed with one of the renowned hotel i.e., Novotel IBIS, Bangalore. That was a combination property with an inventory of over 500 rooms. I’ve gained work experience in all the major departments which will help in achieving early growth in this industry.

My journey in Vedatya is going remarkably well as they provide everything which is needed by the student to become socially sound and professional. As I mentioned earlier the module leaders are very supportive and the whole programme is designated in a way that increases the productivity and intellectual skills of an individual. It also organises the events within the campus in which the students get a huge opportunity to gain experience in every department and also to interact with industry people. In my personal opinion, this place is the best one for those who want to have a glorious career in the Hospitality Industry and I always recommend Vedatya.
