VESIM follows Flip-Classroom Approach to let students become independent: Allison Anil Amin

Here, at VESIM, we have six fast-paced trimesters that keep students on toes and make us ready for the competition in the actual world. VESIM has a different approach of teaching its students, which is flip classroom that helps the students become independent and find more way to inculcate new ideas for one problem.

l was never good with the world of Science and never really had thought great of Arts. Just like a naïve kid, I had a narrow viewpoint that people who took arts were those who wanted to become a teacher or psychologist in the real world. I wanted to join the army but being the only child and emotional persuasion from my mother decided that the best course of action at that point was commerce.

In the two years of my Class 11th and 12th, it had become clear to me that I truly was bad with numbers and was just getting by subjects like Mathematics and Financial accounts. I felt I was better suited for management or mass media and started to pursue my graduation in Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) for the next three years of my learning career.

I always knew that I didn’t want to work as just a graduate but as an individual. l wanted to study further and learn more to expand my own knowledge. But in the current cut-throat competition, things became difficult for me. I decided to study ahead but I needed to give my MH-CET exams and get into a certain range to get admission into any college in Mumbai.  My parents put me into T.I.M.E coaching center under the impression that they would magically help me achieve 99.99 percentile and see to it that I would get into the top college of Mumbai.

When results were declared, the competition got even tougher, so I decided to try my luck in offline admission and that is when I started to read in more detail about Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Management Studies and Research and its cut off and eligibility criteria and applied for PGDM. They had two rounds of interview; the first was a Group Discussion (GD) round and then a Personal Interview (PI) round to get to know all the candidates much better at an individual level.

Here, at VESIM, we have six fast-paced trimesters that keep students on toes and make us ready for the competition in the actual world. VESIM has a different approach of teaching its students, which is flip classroom that helps the students become independent and find more way to inculcate new ideas for one problem.

One of my favourite lectures to attend is personal growth lab cause unlike other subjects, there’s nothing about a calculation going wrong or a case study with a wrong approach but a way to re-create your own self to be a better person not just by thoughts but by actions also.

VESIM has a lot of cells in which every student can participate and be a core member of it, even I became members of branding and social media and also the editorial cell. The amount of work in all the cells is enough to keep me running to and from lectures, assignments, presentations just to complete and manage it all so I won’t fall behind anyone. The first few days of VESIM comprised sitting for lecture, presentations. The pace was fast and tiresome which would put me to sleep as soon as I reached home but now gradually I have got used to it more and found my rhythm to its pace.

I believe that the future is ever-changing and unpredictable but right now I am trying to see VESIM business analytics and its SAS programming and its use in the current world scenario and its future implications in the market.
