Organisations have traditionally shown a distinctive keenness in recruiting the best of students at both the Mumbai and Bengaluru campuses of Welingkar Institute of Management. And despite a huge batch of more than 600 students, the placement cell works tirelessly in placing the students in lucrative profiles (in both Summer Internships and Executive Placements). Students get recruited across different job profiles such as Trainee, Associate, Consultant, Executive, Analyst, Manager, Team/Project Leader, etc. in the sectors such as Banking, Logistics, Media, FMCG, Insurance, IT, etc. The job placement of a student depends upon a company’s requirements and the candidate's calibre. The salary packages range from INR 6 lacs to INR 20 lacs (in case of an international placement). During the Summer Internship Processes, companies offer a stipend that ranges from zero to more than INR 50,000. On average, students end up with INR 15,000 to 20,000 as their stipend. As per the placement report shared by the college officials of its 2019-21 batch, a total of 137 new recruiters came on board, while 523 professionally certified candidates were placed across esteemed organisations. The average work experience of these 523 candidates was roughly 26 months, with the batch comprising 48% female and 52% male students. About 56% of the 2019-21 batch consisted of those having less than 12 months of work experience, whereas the remaining 44% had worked for at least 12 months. 

Coming to the academic background, a significant 45% of the 2019-21 batch were engineers, followed by commerce (23%), management (19%) and others (13%).96 students had an IT background topping the list and BFSI came second with 65 students.
