The Master Jaggannath Centre of Excellence & Incubation (MJCEI) is established at NCU. The Tinkering lab is also established so that students and researchers can discover and invent products from their ideas. Nowadays, it is important to promote the industry and academia linkages and research-based teaching practices in order to keep the pace with the latest technologies evolving globally.

At The NorthCap University, the goal of the research programmes is to increase the number of underrepresented students who pursue post-graduate or doctorate degrees and seek opportunities in academic and research careers. As the scope of research is growing fast, the university has upgraded its resources which are required for progressive research, so that research scholars or students can explore more in their respective fields or beyond that. The NCU supports and encourages the students and faculty researchers to take new and challenging work in their respective fields.

A healthy faculty and student relationship is also maintained in all the departments so that students or research scholars can be supported in their research fields as well as to build their successful career path. Most of the faculties in NCU are PhD holders and are cooperative with students so that they can freely propose their ideas and research works. A healthy environment is a key to successful research. The university encourages learning so that the thinking skills of the students can be improved which leads to quality and innovative research. The students of NCU are more future-ready and can learn new research methods and technology.

Moreover, NCU also supports the students financially by providing monthly fellowship to PhD research scholars in all the departments. The yearly contingency is also provided to all the research fellows for stationery, memberships in reputed societies, reimbursement of conference expenditure and travelling allowances. Other grants such as vice chancellor’s innovation fund aim to encourage innovative ideas amongst researchers, faculty members and students to seed research activity. The funding from the VC Innovation Fund acts as an initial grant to nurture ideas and research work.
