Campus area at N.L. Dalmia

Introduction

NL Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research (NLDIMSR) is a B-school located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and was established in the year 1995. It is roughly ten minutes away from the nearest Mira Road railway station, while the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway is five minutes walk away. In terms of amenities available on its campus, the college has a robust infrastructure which includes a full-fledged Bloomberg Finance Lab, a computer (ICT) Lab, a cafeteria, a seminar hall, an incubation centre, and an extensive library, among others. Though it does not have a hostel on its premises, the college does provide a fully-furnished hostel facility which is located a short distance from the college.

Bloomberg Lab

NLDIMSR is one of the few B-schools across India that has a dedicated Bloomberg Finance Lab, comprising of twelve terminals. The Bloomberg Professional Service, available at the campus itself, helps the students a lot in preparing for careers in various lucrative fields such as investment management, banking, corporate treasury management, etc. The college also offers courses like Bloomberg Analyst Certification, which are constantly updated with the help of official Bloomberg data, news, and analytics round the clock.

Classrooms

All the classrooms are ergonomically designed and well-equipped with a Smart Interactive Teaching Board, an LED Projector, Wi-Fi, and sound audio systems. This leads to forming a productive environment that promotes learning.

Library

The library, or Learning Resource Centre (LRC), facilitates various teaching, learning, and research activities. Spread across a massive 4,780 sq. ft., it covers two floors with a seating capacity of 200. There are two reading halls, a digital library, and a book stack area in the LRC. NL Dalmia also houses an extensive digital library which is linked to various databases such as CMIE’s prowess, EBSCO etc.

Incubation Centre

It was created to provide students with an enriching practical experience in entrepreneurship, to foster innovation-led activities, and to provide comprehensive support in the form of mentoring, training programs, networking, and so on.

Management Development Centre

The MDC is a crucial and popular area on the college campus, created exclusively for conducting seminars, guest lectures, conferences and workshops.

A cafeteria

An ever-buzzing place, NL Dalmia has a hygienic and fully air-conditioned cafeteria that serves a variety of pure vegetarian Indian as well as Chinese cuisines, snacks, and beverages at affordable rates.

Green Campus

For quite some time, NL Dalmia has taken pride in being an environmentally friendly campus. It houses 11 well-maintained medicinal plants; a plastic usage ban; an organic wastewater converter; solar panels; rainwater harvesting; solid waste management; sensor-based energy conservation and the use of power-efficient equipment and LED bulbs, among others.

The Auditorium and Seminar Hall

While the fully air-conditioned and spacious auditorium can accommodate 300 people at a time, the Wi-Fi-enabled seminar hall has a seating capacity of 250.

Miscellaneous. The college also has a modern indoor cricket facility and a 65-seater computer lab equipped with the latest hardware and software.

Management Events

The students participate wholeheartedly in the various events and activities that are in-house as well as outside the campus. Shikhar, a National Level Paper Presentation competition, is the flagship event of NL Dalmia College, which is held every September. An annual International Conclave is also conducted where various esteemed speakers from the corporate world come together to discuss a specific topic. Such events are conducted across all specializations, such as finance, HR, and marketing. Students are also encouraged to take part in activities and events held by various professional societies such as the CFA Institute, NIBM, LinkedIn Learning, etc.

Conclusion

The campus area of NL Dalmia is always buzzing with some or other events and activities, with the robust infrastructure facilitating their smooth execution and letting the students gain an overall enriching exposure. NLDIMSR believes in both the intellectual and physical growth of all its students and provides all the required amenities for the same.
