The School of Distance Learning, Jagannath University was established in 2010 and is approved by Distance Education Bureau and the Joint Committee of UGC-AICTE-DEB. The School of Distance Learning is well equipped with computer and other infrastructure, adequate teaching faculty and an administrative set-up of its own such as computer training centres, etc., to serve its students in their best interest at their door steps. Also, majority of the faculty members have done doctorates in their respective fields. The School of Distance Learning, Jagannath University offers UG and PG programmes in the field of Information Technology and Business Management.

The School of Distance Learning Jagannath University Admission Process 2020: Fast Facts

The School of Distance Learning, Jagannath University offers UG and PG programmes such as BCA, BBA, MBA, MCA and PGDCA. Admission to all these programmes is based on merit scores in the last qualifying exams. Interested candidates will have to download the application form from the official website or they can also obtain it directly from the University campus.

At the UG level, The School of Distance Learning Jagannath University offers two UG programmes such as BCA and BBA in the field of Information Technology and Business Management, respectively. The course duration of both the programmes is three years each, which is spread into six semesters. The medium of instruction is English and admission to both BCA and BBA programmes is based on merit. The below table comprises the minimum eligibility criteria for both the courses:

At the postgraduate level, Jagannath University offers MBA, PGDCA and MCA programmes via distance education. All the relevant information regarding all three programmes is elaborated below.

The School of Distance Learning Jagannath University MBA Admission

In the field of Business Management, The School of Distance Learning Jagannath University offers MBA programme in 16 specialisations. It is a two-year distance MBA degree programme and its course is divided into four semesters. Admission to any of the MBA specialisations is based on the score obtained in the qualifying exams. Eligibility criteria for all MBA specialisations is same. 

Eligibility criteria: A pass in bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

In addition to MBA programme mentioned above, the University also offers PGDCA and MCA programmes with a course duration of one and three years, respectively. Candidates seeking admission to both these courses are selected on the basis of merit scores in their qualifying exams of the UG level. However, candidates are required to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

The School of Distance Learning Jagannath University Application Process 2020

The School of Distance Learning, Jagannath University accepts both online and offline applications. In order to get admission, interested candidates can register themselves by filling up the application form available at the Chaksu and Sitapura campus of Jagannath University or they can also download the application form through the official website (www.sdlju.in/). After obtaining the application form, candidates are advised to follow the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Fill in the application form. It is mandatory to fill all the columns in the form and ‘NA’ must be written if any field is not applicable

Step 2: Submit the application form along with an application fee of Rs 500, as per the admission schedule mentioned in the prospectus 

Step 3: Completed application form must be submitted:

  • In-person at the division of admission at the University campus
  • Send the filled-in application form along with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 500 drawn in favour of “Jagannath University”, payable at Jaipur to the address of either of the campuses mentioned below:
