I am Syed Mohammad Abdal, a native of Andhra Pradesh, currently pursuing my MBA at ABBS. I have completed my undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management as a silver medalist. I have gained valuable experience through several internships in different domains, including HR intern at Career Tome Company and Food and Beverage intern at Red Fox Hotels by Lemon Tree Hotels. In my free time, I enjoy photography and videography. Landscape photography, in particular, provides me with a therapeutic outlet. When I shoot, I find that all my worries disappear as I focus completely on the scenery around me. As I am very interested in photography and videography, I have also completed a short course diploma in short filmmaking.

Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose an MBA at Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS)?

I chose Maths, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC) In my (Class X-XII). Even though I despise math, I decided to enroll in MPC, but there I realized that I wouldn't fit in the science community, even though I completed my intermediate with enough grades. Finally, I have come to the conclusion that I must take my own route rather than taking my friends. I've decided to pursue a career as a hotelier. My parents supported my choice by acting as pillars. I will be able to move from a mid-level position to a senior management position quickly with the aid of an MBA from a reputable B-school, where I will have the chance to make strategic decisions. The MBA is the preferred degree, while it's not necessarily required, according to job listings for senior roles across industries. One profession where an MBA is necessary to advance to an Associate or higher level is consulting. Therefore, while not having an MBA may not be a deal-breaker, it will certainly contribute to career stagnation.

Q2. How did you crack admission in Acharya Bangalore Business School? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for ABBS?

Like everyone else, I had an ambition to attend a reputable business school in India. During my research on Google and through word of mouth, I learned about Acharya Bangalore B-School, a well-known college. As required by the college, I had an interview. I took the MAT Entrance Exam, and I'm happy to say that ABBS College is a proudly green campus that has taken many initiatives towards society and hosts numerous events like the Management Fest, Workshops on Attitude Building, Networking Sessions with Experts in their Field of Study, Pre-Placement Trainings, and Several Club Activities Related to Respective Specializations.

Q3. How do you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in the future?

I thoroughly enjoy my time at ABBS because it has provided me with the opportunity to learn joyfully, showcase my talents, and discover hidden talents within me. I enthusiastically attend all of my classes, particularly those related to my area of specialization. In addition to academics, I actively participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, student groups, athletics, the arts, and culture. I also volunteer for events or causes on campus or in the larger community. Our college has a diverse range of clubs, including the Student Chapter of the National Human Resource Welfare Association (NHRWA) and the Human Resource Success Talk (HRST) Student Chapter, of which I am honored to be the coordinator. The Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC) at our college is a platform where I can pitch my ideas and see them come to fruition.
