Uttarakhand Open University (also known as UOU Haldwani) was established in 2005. UOU courses are recognised by Distance Education Council (DEC) and UGC. However, as per the NIRG report 2024, the median package offered during Kumaun University UG three-year placements 2023 stood at INR 1.2 LPA. Therefore it can be expected that in this year too the median package will improve.
