Q:   Which job profile is better among Aircraft Design Engineer and Avionics Engineer?
A:

Neither is inherently "better". They're both different specializations - an Aircraft Design Engineer focuses on overall structure and mechanics (body, wings, engines) but an Avionics Engineer works with electronics (radar, navigation, autopilot, communication systems).

Candidates should choose Aircraft Design if they love physical, mechanical and also aerodynamic aspects. Or they can choose Avionics if they are interested in computers, electronics and also complex systems that make plane "smart".

Q:   What is the scope of Aeronautical Engineering in India?
A:

Well, this is a difficult question to answer in every aspect, of course, you get a lot of opportunities in government and private sector but it isn't enough. I guess nothing is enough and that shouldn't stop you from taking up this course or profession if you are passionate about it and things involved interests you.

Talking about what all can you do after Aeronautical Engineering?

1) Maintenance of Aircraft- You can work as an Aeronautical Maintenance Engineer where you will test new aerodynamic and aviation systems and maintain them.

2) Aircraft Designer - You can get involved in designing, constructing, and testing aircraft, missiles, and spacecrafts. Here, you may conduct research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment with respect to aircraft design and manufacture.

3) Defence - You can also work in the defense sector working on defence aircrafts such as fighter jets, choppers, bombers, etc. Also, the job requires being able to handle such aircraft at necessary times.

Further, where all can you work?

You can work in government sector with ISRO, DRDO, HAL, etc., and then you can look at private companies such as L&T, Godrej & Boyce aerospace, Boeing, Airbus, Mahindra, etc. The opportunities are endless.

Thanks. Have a good day.

Hello Sambit, The institute that you have mentioned is actually not offering any engineering course approved by AICTE. What they are doing is enabling you to complete distance education program offered by "Aeronautical Society of India" after which you get the certificate that is equivalent to BE.

As per my idea, the fee structure of aeronautical engineering is slightly higher than all other branches. On an average, it costs around 8-10 Lacs for 4 years.

Hello Shalin, The path of admission to any engineering college is through CET or equivalent of that state. Perhaps only in TN admissions are based on marks of 12th. So follow rules applicable for your state.

Hello Parth, Road to any Engineering degree is through one or the other CET. Just check what your state needs & follow it. Else it's JEE Mains for NIT's and JEE Advanced for IIT's.
