The college is absolutely the best for students who want to study technology.
Placements: Our college has maintained a 90% placement rate, reflecting strong academic and industry-focused training. The highest package is 90 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average stands at 12 LPA, showing a solid career start for most students. Top recruiters include Microsoft, PhonePe, Cognizant, Deloitte, Infosys, Dell, Aveva, and Being. Most students are placed in Software Engineer roles, highlighting the college's strong programming and technical foundation. The curriculum focuses on industry-relevant skills like software development and problem-solving, with regular placement training to prepare students for interviews and real-world challenges.
Infrastructure: Our campus offers a vibrant and supportive environment for overall growth. With 24-hour Wi-Fi, students can study and work anytime. The newly built, spacious library is rich with books and digital resources, providing a perfect study atmosphere. Each department now has separate buildings, enhancing academic focus and accessibility. The addition of RV University nearby adds to the institution's prestige. Sports are equally encouraged, with well-maintained grounds and facilities for cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games. Regular tournaments and sports events promote fitness and team spirit. The campus truly balances academic excellence with personal and physical development.
Faculty: The teachers here are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and always ready to help students understand concepts clearly. Every semester includes at least one project, which helps students apply what they've learned and get a feel for real-world company projects. There are also skill labs and workshops that train students in hands-on technical skills, making them industry-ready. When it comes to exams, the difficulty level is moderate. If students stay attentive in class and do a quick revision, even a night's study is usually enough to pass. The focus is more on learning and applying concepts than just memorizing.
Other: 8th Mile will also happen every 2 years, it's a big fest. Canada Habba will happen where they organize different cultural activities.

Come only if you want placements.
Placements: 90% of students in the CS branch get placed by the end of their third year. The highest package offered was 56 LPA in 2025 and 92 LPA in 2024. The average package for the CS branch is around 17.5 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Zomato, PhonePe, Qualcomm, and Microsoft have visited the college for placements.
Infrastructure: The library is quite good and newly built. Classrooms are currently under construction and will be completed in one year. Students are currently attending classes in another branch's building. While the writer lives in a PG, they note that the hostel food is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in the first year, but their engagement decreases in the second year. The first-year curriculum is tough. The pass percentage is good, but semester exams are quite difficult.

Review of RVCE College of Engineering.
Placements: About 40% of students were placed in the course. The average package was around INR 20 LPA. Recruiting companies included Bosch, Intel, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, BookMyShow, and other big tech companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and everything is kept clean and ready for use. The mess is okay, not the best, but meets expectations. The canteen is phenomenal, with great food, although it's expensive. It’s a big canteen with a nice outdoor tree area for sitting.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and ready to assist. Some are even great and encouraging. The curriculum has been revised many times, so it's up-to-date. The difficulty level is moderate, and you need 84% attendance to write exams for any subject.

If you want to develop and learn, then this is the perfect place for you.
Placements: In my course (CSE), nearly 80% of the students got placed in 2024. The highest package offered is 64 LPA (2 members got this), and the lowest package is 5 LPA, with the average package around 20 LPA for CSE. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Cisco, Apple, Confluent, Flipkart, PhonePe, Goldman Sachs, etc. Nearly most of the people who got placed secured internships in top companies, including all the above-mentioned companies. Top roles offered are software engineer, data analyst, software developer, engineering analyst, and software engineer intern.
Infrastructure: The hostel we got is brand new, and they will provide 24/7 Wi-Fi and hot water. They inaugurated a new library by the Brigade Foundation in December 2024. In the hostel, you will get different types of food, North Indian, South Indian, and the taste is decent enough. There is no non-veg, but you can have non-veg and junk food in the canteen called Mingos. For sports and games, they are building a gymnasium, which we can use by July 2025. Until then, we can play in the outdoor grounds provided by the college.
Faculty: The teachers here are really helpful. They will guide you in projects and subjects. If you have a good idea or are interested in learning, teaching quality is also good here. They will take extra classes if the majority of the class does not understand anything. Yes, it will give you vast knowledge about every industry because they make you learn everything in the first year. Semester exams are not too tough if you study from the start, otherwise, they will be tough.
Other: I chose this course because of placements here, and the best thing is you can learn a lot. Your peers are much more talented than you, so you can learn a lot from them. I don't have any personal suggestions to improve the course curriculum. Even though the curriculum is old-fashioned, I think this is the best way of teaching because we learn a lot of things. We have many clubs here, so the connectivity is good, and every day some event or another happens here.

Review of RV College of Engineering.
Placements: Top companies come to RVCE for placements. Most of them get placed with good packages. The highest salary package offered this year is around 65 LPA. All students in RVCE are mostly skilled and highly intelligent unless they are from management, so they mostly get placed.
Infrastructure: It was established in the 90's, so the infrastructure is not that great. We have all facilities. The college is constructed newly. Recently, a new library was built, which is posh and has technologies like sound-proof and is a place where everyone would love.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified. The paper is quite tough and requires deep knowledge to be answered. It involves experiential learning where we get to learn a lot of new things. We have to coordinate with our team members to complete it within the deadline.

    I got 37789 ranking in KCET 2022, can I get CS branch in RV college?

    I had scored 296/300 in PCM and 162/180 in CET. My rank was 224, I was the last but one (penultimate) person to get the seat in general category (I guess the last rank to get in was around 245).     Hello YASHASWINI, According to the previous year's cut off you can't get a seat in RV college for cse course. But don't lose hope because the cutoff varies among students. Do try and maybe you will get it.
