I am a part of The Management Club at our University. We have conducted several successful events in the college so far. These events connect the aspects of management with daily life and enhance market knowledge. The various management games promote teamwork, leadership, coordination, and management skills.

Right from the start, I wanted to build something that was my own. I come from a Gujarati business family. Hence, I have grown up watching my father and grandfather working hard to build their business. I have heard them talking about it, and have even observed little intriguing details related to it. This has led me to choose the Commerce stream. My interest in business and management studies grew stronger while studying subjects like Business Management, Economics, and Accounts in the 11th-12th standard.

Ahmedabad University is a famous institution that was always there on my mind while choosing the college. I have heard about it from my friends and relatives who were its alumni and had made astounding careers after graduating from it. When I visited the college, I got attracted by its campus, the infrastructure, the activities going around, and the diverse student bodies. They not only prioritize academics but also other extracurricular activities and sports for the overall growth of a student. The admission process is unique and distinct as it involves choosing a suitable college time and different subjects from a wide range of core and electives on your own. The foundation it has set for me is very strong.

I wanted to go abroad for my higher studies after completing my 12th standard, but it changed and I ended up staying here to complete my undergraduate degree. Ahmedabad University was my first preference so I applied and got to know that you don’t need to appear for any entrance exam to get admission here. So, I didn’t go for any coaching. The admission is done based on your overall achievement and scores in the 12th board exams.

I have always worked pretty hard without any support to achieve my goals. I also had Nirma University and PDPU in mind but I got admission in my foremost preference in the first go. The admission process went smoothly. It starts by filling up the admission form, writing a statement of purpose (my life journey), and answering some questions in the essay part. I was very happy when I received an email for personal interaction, as it adds so much value to your overall application. Eventually, everything went pretty well and I got selected based on my academic credentials, personality traits, and my abilities.

One of the most important phases in the life of a person is his/her college life. The experiences during my school and college have fostered a positive attitude and curiosity in me towards learning new things. I have always placed equal emphasis on my academics as well as on extracurricular activities. The course at the university is contextual and very rigorous which has helped me think critically and taught me different aspects of managing time. The three underlining attributes which have paved the way for me are interdisciplinary learning, experiential learning, and self-learning. I have explored every opportunity outside the format of the classroom to improve my skills.

I am a part of The Management Club at our University. We have conducted several successful events in the college so far. These events connect the aspects of management with daily life and enhance market knowledge. The various management games promote teamwork, leadership, coordination, and management skills. The different societies and clubs gave me amazing exposure. It has helped me to come up with different ideas and think creatively. Besides this, I had the privilege of learning different languages like French, Spanish, and Japanese. I also learned about different cultures and religions. It has provided me a deeper understanding of other’s beliefs and traditions.

During my ISP period, I learned filmmaking and got a chance to work with some amazing people from different streams. We successfully made a short film and presented it in front of the people. Each day in college is always filled with different opportunities to grab on to. This phase of my life will always be an unforgettable one for me.
